Hi,

The Easy Fix Base is used for cars which have isofix points in their car. The Easy Base fits into your car using the seatbelt.
Both of these bases can be used ONLY for the CabrioFix Carseat and cannot be used for the next stage seat (Group 1).

I hope this helps.

I just called the Maxi Cosi customer service line to ask this question. No, the carseat base for mico will not work with a cabriofix carseat- different shape.

Get back to where you bought it for a replacement - these things HAVE to work perfectly to keep your child safe - don't try to "fix" it you could live to regret it.

SOURCE: Our car doesn't allow us to use the easyfix

The carseat has obviously not been correctly installed using the seatbelt as it cannot be removed without undoing the seatbelt if it has been correctly installed. Contact your retailer for a demonstration on correct fitting.

Does maxi cosi cabriofix easy base require anything to be removed from it before fixing it? we cant find where the button is that fixes it to the seat

Hi

Can you clarify - what button are you looking for?

The EasyFix base is fitted into the vehicle using the IsoFix points OR the 3 point seabelt. (Never both) The carseat then clicks onto the base and the metal rods on the underside of the CabrioFix carseat are grabbed by clamps on the base.

Indicator lights on easyfix base cabriofix not clicking in to place

Hi
This would indicate that the carseat is not correctly installed onto the base or that the base is not correctly installed into the car on the IsoFix points.

I have the isofix easy fix base. It will not come out of the car. We press in button in and pull and it does not move at all. It's almost like the locking mechanism has jammed. Any suggestions?

Good Afternoon

On either side of the EasyFix base you will see a small square opening with the yellow IsoFix point showing through it. Take a flat head screwdriver and slide into this hole facing toward the front of the car and gently push the screwdriver handle so it ends up facing the rear of the car - this should unlock the IsoFix mechanism. You'll need to do it on both sides if both sides are stuck.

If this doesn't work, or once you have done this, take the base back to your retailer with your proof of purchase if it is under 2 years old and they will be able to assist.

The Maxi Cosi CabrioFix can be fitted using the EasyFix base (IsoFix or seatbelt fitted) the EasyBase and EasyBase 2 (fitted with seatbelt only) or the FamilyFix base (IsoFix only). If you do not have IsoFix points you need either an EasyBase or EasyBase 2 to be fitted with seatbelt.

Have purchased Maxi Cosi baby restraint with Easy Base - Iso fix,

The Maxi Cosi CabrioFix and EasyFix can only be used with IsoFix or the seat belt on (preferrably) the back seat. Please don't alter the mounting system of the seat as it will give unpredicable results!

The Commodore name has been around since 1978 so it is possible when you own an older Commodore you won't have any means to fix the Maxi Cosi seat.

If you do have IsoFix and/or seat belts in the back seat then please elaborate on the exact nature of the problem.

With kind regards,
