Why can't I light my LPG Bunsen Burners with the Lightnin Bug 08-100. I can use a match or a flame and they start, but these do not light it. I have tried 3 different ones!

Yellow flame black smokePitco 24f 6 burner Lpg Pitco fryer yellow flame on Lpg orifices size 53# Neww burners new gas valve set up on 10 wc. 2 technicians came over but no result

yellow flame and black smoke is incorrect air /gas ratio
there is an air shroud over the jet that controls the air flow mix and it can be adjusted forward or back to open / close the air inlets holes
could be that the jets are incorrect for LPG as the indications are the same if running on LPG with natural gas jets

Clean heat exchanger

It needs to be removed and power washed. This is not always a DIY project, unless you have a strong back and are mechanically inclined. The heavy sooting indicates that the heater is not getting enough gas. Remember bunsen burners? Same deal, we want a blue flame (non sooting), not an orange flame. The culprit is usually an undersized gas line to the heater, or a smaller gas meter than the heater requires.

I light the first burner and the flame doesnt seem as big as it should be, I light the second burner and the flame goes down slightly, I light the third burner and it goes out completely

clean all the burners and the orffices , check the gas is full if lpg ,check gas line is not blocked , if this natgas grill check connection is in tight and not loose giving small flow of gas.

I have a rinnai LPG 6 burner gas heater, it starts fine but wont ignite the middle left burner. It has a blue flame over the top that occasionally radiates down the burner. All the other 5 burners work...

sounds like the injector hole is too largefor that burner have you had it converted reciently
lpg injectors are only half the size hole of natural gas injector, could have a blockage in the injector diverting the gas flow

When one of the gas hobs is on ,it does not burn with a blue flame but a more yellow one .also black soot forms under the burner plate.it is on lpg

Have to adjust the piolot lights for the amount of gas coming out. U have too much gas coming out(yellow flame). On older gas ranges, there was a small screw between the piolot light & burners that had to be adjusted. (if this is a older model) have to turn the screw just a little at a time, till ur flame returns to blue on ur burners. Hope this helps.

Top burners will noty lite

Hello, this is a strange story.
I had this a few times in the opposite and then I found that it was a LPG cooker in stead of a natural gas cooker.
Did you buy this cooker second hand and did not use it before?
When this cooker is normally natural gas, then the nozzles are much larger then when used for LPG, as the pressure of LPG is much higher as for natural gas.
In that case you can change the nozzles for LPG use
Is this a dual fuel cooker with electric oven?

Kind regards, Dik

Gas Grill Burners with yellow flames coming from beneath them

the flames should be blue and the burners clean. check gas pressure and the air mixture dampers. touch air will give you the same effect. if the burners are clean, it is the mixture. as far as the slots in the bottom. i have not seen that. but i work on commercial ranges.
