Back - light problem. Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis.

To some model sets; especially LED back-lighted types; the back-light inverter circuit will be part of the main power supply board [SMPS]. In such cases, the power supply board might need replacement. To some models sets, the back-light inverter and SMPS section circuit will be integrated at its main board itself. If so; the main board should be replaced.

HI. My Celcus tv DLED40125FHD keeps turning on and off on its own. I get picture and sound for about 12 seconds then turns off and does it again.

People are really going to kick themselves if they read this and have already thrown the tv away!! Try this fix, I had exactly the same problem as everyone else but every tv I swapped it with did the same thing so then I thought, I wonder if there is a remote somewhere being pressed down underneath something? So I covered up the sensor with a piece of blutack and boom the problem stopped and my tv started working perfectly ?? although I still haven’t found the remote in question but hey my tv works

Have checked all connections on my Celcus tv, have sound but no picture. Any ideas? I have also disconnected from mains supply for a while.

Is it led TV?
while the TV is on with sound.
shine a torch in to the screen and see if you can see anything
try darken the room your in foir better viewing
let me know after the flashlight test

Your power board is perhaps going bad.
Get to find the replacement part number for the entire board and replace

Gate7, your main board in the TV may be bad and may need to be replaced. Try this RE SET procedure first, turn the TV on so you have a picture,then
while it is on unplug it. Wait 5 mins and plug it back in.

How do I change the picture size?

You can change the picture size by using either the TV remote or the cable box remote (which ever you are using). Just go into the TV settings option, scroll through the different options that adjust everything from color and tint, sound, contrast, etc, and you should find one for changing the screen size (my Sony TV can be changed from normal, and wide, to wide zoom).

Why does the sound on my celcus tv go off ater about ten minutes but the picture is fine. volume returns if i switch the tv off or a few minutes and then back on.

Audio output IC over-heats is the pronlem. anyway, check the speaker/s first. If found OK; check and replace the damaged component/s at its audio output section circuit board. Retune tv as if first install, go to your virgin or sky channel and sound should be returned.
