On model PLEF398DCH Frigidaire Professional Series electric range, my digital readout for the right side burners works fine. My left side digital readout is inoperative, but the burners work fine. Is there...

Good Afternoon Lee,

I understand that the left hand side digital readout is not working on your Frigidaire range, model# PLEF398DCH. I suggest resetting your appliance, by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your home's circuit breaker, for 3-5 minutes. Sometimes there can be a miscommunication between the different boards inside your appliance. Once you restore power, you will need to set the clock and start any cycle. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your appliances status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-

How to keep the radio light on?

The sensor behind the plastic readout window needs to be exposed to a sufficient amount of light to alter the display brightness from dark room mode to bright room mode (dimmed display, bright display). Be sure sufficient light falls on the digital readout display when desiring the display to be at its bright mode setting.

The digital readout on my dashboard dims during the day. They don't flicker and at night it seems fine. I have a 2002 Mercedes c320

The problem probable is a short to ground on one of ur circuits. when u drive at night u have ur headlights on which forces the alternator to produce more electricity. making it seem normal. or a defective alternator

What is the formula to figure out the pace

(I got this from http://www.livestrong.com/article/93695-set-up-omron-pedometer/)
Step 1

Pace out an area that's long enough for you to take 10 normal steps, in your natural stride, without having to turn to one side or the other. Place a piece of tape at one end of this distance, then stand with your toes flush with the edge of the tape.
Step 2

Carry another piece of tape with you as you walk straight ahead, taking 10 steps (5 with your left foot, 5 with the right). Stop at the end of the tenth step and place the tape flush with the toes of your leading foot.
Step 3

Measure the distance from one piece of tape to the other, in inches, with a measuring tape. Divide this distance by 10 to get your average stride length. If, for example, you walked 290 inches in 10 strides, your average stride length will be 290 / 10 = 29 inches.

System works fine, plays well etc. However, the digital readout is no longer visible. Ideas?

There is typically a dimming feature among these types of systems. There may be a button on your remote/system panel to adjust how dimmed the display through which you can adjust it. If not, then try to enter the system setup mode and adjust the brightness of the display.

OR if the digital readout is not very dim and is in fact blank then your LCD panel has failed. You should replace the panel or get a new receiver. I would start by calling the customer support line as this will surely be under the manufacturer's warranty.

On my console, all the readouts for the speed,distance...turn on but they come up as all zeros. I put new batteries in but I still get no readouts. Help.

Has anyone had the treadmill apart? Most of the readouts are really very simple. Simply a sensor wire that runs down to the pulley with a sensor at the end. It counts the revolutions of the drive pulley and gives calculated readouts for speed, est calories, distance etc. all the same function really
Check the wire for breaks, check the sensor for positioning and dirt, check the magnet on the drive pulley that tells the sensor pulley position
