I have a 5 foot singing Grinch that I cannot get into the standing position. I have pushed down on his shoulders and releasing gently. I've searched for a dial on Neck to turn and cannot locate

To extend the height of your Gemmy Singing Santa Claus, you can follow these instructions:

Carefully remove the product from its packaging and unpack all contents.
Lay the figure on its back and locate the locking pins underneath the figure base. Turn pins counterclockwise to unlock. Remove pins and retain for later use. Pins are used to secure figure in compacted position for storage purposes only.
After pins have been removed, return figure to upright position. Place on a stable, secure, and flat surface.
Gently press down on figure's shoulders and then slowly guide body upward to full standing position. Do not press down and release without holding the figure's shoulders.
The figure's head is located under the body, it will be revealed once you guide the body to full standing position. Attach the figure's head by aligning the groove and setting in place. Make sure the latch locks the head in place.
Pose arms in desired position.
Adjust volume control to desired level.

The first step would be to check all of the connections. If they are fine, next is to check the power supply for voltage using a meter.

Did you try pushing down on his shoulders? If you remove the screws from the base and apply pressure to the shoulders he should able to move into an upright or down position. if you have the same on as I do, gently pull off his head - there is a large dial that you turn to unlock him into the standing position.

Push his shoulders down together then release!!

It is suposed to pop up once you press on its shoulders. Once you press them both down you will hear two clicks and release and it will pop up. Mine was jammed and when I pressed it down on the shoulders only one side would click, the other side would not click so Santa did not pop up to full size.

It was jammed on the white area of the stocking, the material got tucked inside the click mechinism prevent it from making proper contact. To fix it I simply pulled the white stocking material up (as if you are going to roll the pant leg up) and then when I pushed the shoulders down after that it opened up just like it should!

we got ours to stand up by a quick push to the shoulders. Was my late mothers and we have no instruction manual.

Remove the locks from the bottom. They look like the base for one of those solar lights you put in your yard. Once they are removed, push down on both shoulders at the same time and it will spring up! Hood luck and Happy Halloween!
