"Worked in the past, doesn't work now", That's sort of the definition of a failure. Has the laptop been dropped? What does the laptop when you try to start? Do you see LED"s blink? Fan spins? HHD LED blink? Battery light on? Has the AC jack been damaged due to pulling on the cord? Did you try a cord/charger with the EXACT same power spec? Test the DC volts at the laptop cord plug with a multimeter. Reseat the Memory mods. May be a HDD failure? Post results

In the past, whenever I needed a specialized replacement cord (as an electrical engineer) I went to this company:
North American and International AC power cords and cord sets from... I have been able to find anything I ever looked for, and I see they have no minimum order. Another alternative is to find a local Goodwill or consignment store and browse through their older electronics (and hot plates and such). Old stuff sells so cheaply it's worth it just for the cord.

I have seen those End -of -cord built in GFI's fail like that , in the past I have just replaced the cord, but one month old is warranty issue

Try to unplug the power adapter from the printer.


Then unplug the power cord from the power outlet in the wall. Wait for at least 10 seconds before you replug the cord. Then replug the power adapter to the printer.

I believe that this site (fixya.com) is just a help site. I have found that in the past ten years, every TV set and computer as wll as several other devices have used the same type of power cords. If you have an older computer around, then the cord will fit most TV sets. You could drop by a computer fixet it store and they will either give you or sell cheap, (<5bucks) an old power cord. You could also look at the electronic store and find a usable cord that you can subs5titute.

It requires a power adapter to charge. The connection for it is next to the sync cable connector.

with regard to your problem since you point out that the cause of your issue is your power cord then,  replace another power cord...
