My iphone 3G all of a sudden won't switch from one app to another like messages to email without totally turning off the phone. What can I do to fix this?

In the settings app, under Messages, be sure to go to "Send & Receive" and make sure you are starting new messages from your phone number and not email address. this is a feature of iMessage.

To download applications on iPhone, you need to open an Apple ID. Once your apple id is created (on apple website), you can download apps from your iphone. When the app is free, it will not be charged.

u upgrade u r iphone firmware to 3.0 or higher , then you can forward messages to your friend

try restoring your iphone, this will wipe your handset, but it should solve your problem.

Plug your phone into your computer holding the home button. This will put your phone into restore mode and will allow you to update.

Problem resolved itself. Yahoo mail must have made the necessary changes to eliminate this problem. Thanks to all who may have given this problem some thought.
