Tried holding the lock button several times for more than 3 seconds, would not unlock. Unplugged refrigerator for 5 minutes plugged back in and is still stuck on lock mode. What else could be the problem and how do I fix it?
To Lock and Unlock the Dispenser To lock, press and hold the ICE OFF/LOCK pad for 3 seconds. Repeat this step to unlock the dispenser. (Hold 3 sec to lock control)

djones, The evap fan motor should not change speeds in less than 1 minute of time. The fan motor has two speeds. Usually this is a indication of a failing main board. If you have a meter you can do a voltage check at the J-2 connector on the board. Check for 13VDC between pins J2-3 and J2-8 and 8 to 13VDC between J2-3 and J2-4. If this voltage stays steady, your problem lies in the evap fan motor. If this voltage drops out or fluctuates, it's more than likley the board....Catriver...post back.

I had this problem and did 3 things to correct it:
1st: I changed out the Main Circuit Board in the back of the fridge.... very easy to do, but that wasn't the problem.
2nd: I changed out the Dispenser Circuit board, which is behind the touch panel. Also very easy to do, just snaps out. but that also wasn't the problem
3rd: I checked the wire harness connection point located behind the grill at the bottom front of the fridge underneath the freezer side. This is also very easy to do, and son of a ..... that is what is was. Moister from mopping the floor had started to corrode the connections. So I purchases a cheap 3 wire plug and cut out the old and spliced in the new. You don’t actually need the plug, you can hard wire direct but if you ever have to take the door off you will have to cut the wires.
So now I’m the proud owner of an extra functioning Main Circuit Board and Dispenser Circuit board if anyone is in need.
