4.7 cu ft chest freezer dead

Our relatively new (about 3 years old) little chest freezer makes no noise at all and does not chill. After reading other posts, I must add that it does make the odd soft click. Help?

compressor is faulty. clicking noise you hear is the overload for the compressor. not worth repair and not diy

SOURCE: new chest freezer not getting cold

I am having the same problem. How long did it take?
I bought mine second hand and think it may be broken. I plugged it in 8 hours ago. I can hear it running but it's not cold yet.
