What are you torquing the bolts on the bottom that hold the blades? If it's the bolt on the blade that fits under the deck on the hub it's 65lbs don't over tighten or you will break off the bolt. Sorry if that was not the answer to your question maybe be more specific. MJ

7 days ago - Need head bolt torque for Brigges Stratton 18 Hp ... 210 to 230 inch pounds. Torque in a crisscross pattern upper left lower right upper right or left or right.
briggs has service manuals available on their website... take those numbers and search... and yes. they have a sequence and a torque spec. which is 160 inch pounds
if there is thread locking compound on bolt or threads it must be removed, use a tap to clean the threads and a wire brush to clean the bolts. Use a thread locking compound (blue) when reassembling, torque the bolts to 30 ft. lbs. alternating bolt to bolt in 7-10 lb. increments. Recheck the torque after the engine has been ran up to op temp.
