Your problem sounds to me like possibly and LCD problem. The iPhone is so delicate that the lcd and digitizer will stop working with one drop.
If you have dropped your phone before chances are the lcd got damaged. it can be replaced relatively inexpensive.
So Hook it up to itunes and see if it mounts, if it does, chances are your lcd is bad.

If a hard reset doesn't cure it and there is no bootup sounds at all, you have a broken logic board. There is an iphone repair website that shows you how to do the replacement yourself and a third party iphone repair company that can do it for you.

I suggest you take your broken Iphone to a cell phone repair shop.
Get a quote for the repair then you can decide whether to go ahead with the repair or get a new Iphone.

You need to connect to iTunes via your computer & select restore this iPhone. This will re install iOS & should solve any problems you have. You will lose anything that is currently installed however, so, if you have a backup on your computer, once the iOS has been restored, you then need to go to restore from backup. This should then put your iPhone back to how it was when you last did a backup.

Hi Hiorbamy,
You might have just busted the screen. If so, you might be able to fix it for just under $26.00.
Step 1) Take the broken iPhone 3G to your nearest Apple Store and ask a Genius to confirm wether the iPhone is salvageable by simply replacing the screen. After the diagnosis, thank the Apple Genius, and leave.
Step 2) If the Apple Genius has confirmed that the problem is JUST the screen, order a spare one online. You can find the very easily by doing a simple Google Search for: "Pre-Installed Apple 3G Screen". You can find them for arround $25-$30
Step 3) Install the new iPhone screen by following the instructions that came with the replacement iPhone Screen.

Iphone freezing when i took a call now wont go back
I use my iphone as my alarm. The alarm won't off but when I went to shut it off and touched the OK button it wouldn't do anything. It froze!
