IF YOUR DISHWASHER IS OVER 3 YEARS OLD IT HAS PROBABLY BLOWN THE HEATER IF THEY ARE USED ON REPEATEDLY LOW TEMP WASHES FAT CAN BUILD UP AND DESTROY THE ELEMENT ON A 35 QUICK WASH IT SHOULD HEAT UP WITHIN 12 MINS OF STARTING IF NOT HEATING APPLIANCE WILL WASH FOR UP TO 3 HOURS IN COLD WATER IF CYCLE TIMES ARE NORMAL BUT NO HEAT IS EITHER A THERMOSTAT OR PCB FAULT THE FORMER IS LESS LIKELY,YOU SHOULD GET AREADING OF AROUND 25 TO 30 OHMS ACROSS LIVE AND NEUTRAL AND INFINITY ACROSS LIVE TO EARTH AND NEUTRAL TO EARTH.

I got bosch exxcel watching matchine it is not heating up the water the element is fine but matchine is not hating up the water .

It must have a thermostat to prevent the water from getting too hot. The thermostat sensor/switch is stuck in the " off " position. The only other thing it could be is the temp boost switch is defective. Just because the heating element looks good, does not mean that it is good.

I have a Bosch exxcel 1600 express washing machine which has packed up heating the water i have checked the heater element and i have signal in and out of element so ok also checked wiring up to control...

This appears to be the vacuum pipe that detects when the drum has sufficient water levels, have you checked the temperature sensor is activating.

Bosch exxcel washing machine not heating water

Are you sure it's not heating the water? The only time it heats is when it takes the detergent, all rinses are in cold water only. To test the heater, put the dial to the OFF position, press and hold the start button whilst turning the dial one click to left (30 easycare) when the two middle lights come on or 888 in display (if there's a display), take your finger off the start, turn the dial to 90 cotton (the long way, counterclockwise, not thro the OFF) press start, the tub will fill and it will do a stationary heat, you should hear the element/water making a noise like a kettle boiling. Leave the machine like this for a few minutes. Put dial to off until the door lock disengages and touch the water to see if it's warm. Put the machine on drain to clear water. If there is defo no heat repost and I will give you step by step of changing element.

Hi,

I have an older dishwasher also and recently my wife also complained about it not cleaning right... so me being the man I am tried in vain to clean the things... Bought new spray arms online and installed them in minutes...now the thing works like new... However I have also found that if the heating element goes bad then that also can mess things up bad... So I would buy new spray arms, and also check out the heating element to make sure it is working... Here is a tip that will help you with the online buying...

Water is not going into the machine - and yes the water is on

There is a heating element in the dishwasher that heats the water to about 155F at which point a thermostat closes and sends power to the timer to advance. If the water does not reach this temp, the dishwasher will not advance. Often the problem lies in a faulty part in the heating circuit like the heating element or the thermostat but you will need a technician to verify.

Bosh exxcel dishwasher heater problem

Check with multi-meter for power on the heating element's tags. If it does get power, you should replace the heating element. In case of no power- you should replace the thermostat. Good luck!
