I have the same machine and I wonder if your kneading parts are locked into place...i remember using it one time and the kneeding blades were not secured and the same thing happened.
Good luck..

by the way...have you ever made the dough??..i attempted to make it tonight and it did not turn out..
There is a stage after kneading where the machine seems dormant and no or almost no heat is applied. This is the "Rise" stage. Do you have a copy of the manual that goes with your machine?
I had great success in finding what I wanted for my breadmaker athttp://breadmakerpartsemporium.ioffer.com/. They have manuals and parts for most breadmakers at very reasonable prices.
A lot of breadmakers function exactly as you
describe functioning normaly.
The heater comes on to warm the ingredients
to about 110 degrees. This heating takes place
for 10, 15, or 20 minutes before kneeding starts.
