SOURCE: Lexmark X7350 Scan feature

well you are able to scan multiple documents.. but the file size is more.. the way lexmark software writes the pdf file.. the file will be huge for PDF... but not sure if this is a case with any other all in one manufacturer like HP also... but i would assume it would be the same.. so scan the file to MS WORD or any other application that supports multiple pages... so u have it as one file... but if u want only pdf files, then u have to do a little work around like writing the MS WORD Document to pdf format. If the PDF Writer is not installed with your copy of MSWORD then try any free pdf writer software available on the internet.

SOURCE: Could not read the ICC profile. Saving image canceled.

ICC = International Color Consortium.

The ICC's should be installed in the default printer directory.

Also, you may want to check the printer profile. In printer properties under the "color management" tab check to see if automatic or manual is highlighted. If manual is highlighted, be sure the print profile matches that of the paper you are using. You can select any of the included profiles as the default or add your own from a third source. Such third-source profiles are most often specified by your software provider

SOURCE: Canon 6570 Copier Scan to a network file share, not email it

the easiest way to do this is to goto additional functions, address book, register new address, file, then you can type in the name you would like ie. Bill or Contracts. when it asks for the file path change it from ftp to smb and then select browse this will let you browse the network and just select till you get to your shared file. you can also type the ip address in the address bar of internet explorer and manually put the file path in the RUI under address book.

Testimonial: "This was great info and very quick. It is great to network with others and hopefully I can do the same for someone else down the road."

I have a lexmark 464de mfp. How do i setup scan to e-mail on windows 7 on this network printer?

Multi-function printers cannot scan and then e-mail the scanned image. They can scan and then fax a document.
You need to scan the document, then save the scanned image, open your e-mail program and create the e-mail then attach the image file (file attachment) to the e-mail before you send the e-mail.

Send scanned document too the computer

For this issue that you are having. You need to have the printer connected to your network. You need to have the manual for the printer setup. Once it is connected to your network. You will be assigning an IP address for the printer. You need to add it on your printer list using its ip address. Once connected, try to go to the printer itself. Look at the menu and look for the scan folder. The scan folder must contain the ip address of the computer you are sending the copy to and also the exact location of the folder it will be saved. Onced setup, all you have to do is to press the scan button then it will automatically save it to your preferred computer folder. Please be also noted about the file formats that your scanner will create. Usually, people uses jpg, jpeg but i recommend .Tiff cause it won't loose the quality of the scanned picture or document

Epson

I know the error is on the printer but it may still let you scan.

Use the following steps to scan with the Epson Scan utility:
1. Open Epson Scan by going into START, PROGRAMS, and EPSON SCAN.
2. If prompted, select your scanner from the list of models and click OK.
3. In the FILE SAVE SETTINGS window, you can designate the location, name and type of file the scans will be saved as.

-LOCATION defaults to MY DOCUMENTS. Click BROWSE if you wish to change this.
-PREFIX determines how the scan will be named. Type any name you like. You can also designate a start number.
-FILE TYPE dictates what format the scans will be saved in. ie. .JPG, .TIFF, .PDF, or .PICT)
-For example: if the prefix is "img", the start number is "1", and the format is "JPG", the name of the file saved in
PICTURES will be "IMG001.JPG". More settings for file format are found under OPTIONS.
4. Click OK once settings are changed as desired.
5. The EPSON SCAN window will open and begin scanning in FULL AUTO MODE. In FULL AUTO MODE the software makes all the decisions for you (as to what is being scanned, where it is on the flatbed, etc). This is the easiest way to scan.
6. If you want full control over the scanning process click PAUSE and change FULL AUTO MODE to HOME MODE or PROFESSIONAL MODE. In the latter two modes you can change your scan settings as desired. Click SCAN after you have selected your settings. Click CLOSE once the EPSON SCAN is finished scanning.
7. When scanning is complete, your images will be saved in the location specified on FILE SAVE SETTINGS, with the prefix and in the format you set.

Epson stylus photo RX580

When you see the File Save Settings window, you need to select the location, name, and format of the scanned image file you want to save.
  1. In the File Save Settings window, specify the file folder in which you want to save your scanned image. Click the My Documents or My Pictures radio button (Windows XP or earlier versions), or the Documents or Pictures radio button (Windows Vista or Mac OS X).
  2. If you want to select another folder, click Other, then click Browse (Windows) or Choose (Mac OS X) and select the folder. If you want to save your image on the desktop, simply click Other.
  3. Specify a file name prefix with an alphanumeric character string. A 3-digit number is automatically added to the file name, but you can change the Start Number if you like. If you are scanning multiple images at once, each image will receive a different 3-digit number.
  4. Select a file format. Depending on the format, the Options button may be available for making detailed settings.
  5. The check boxes at the bottom of the window give you these options:
  • Overwrite any files with the same name: Select this option if you want to reuse the selected file name and location and overwrite previous files with the same names.
  • Show this dialog box before next scan: Select this option if you want the File Save Settings window to appear automatically before you scan in Home or Professional Mode. If you deselect it, you must click the File Save Settings button to open the window.
  • Open image folder after scanning: Select this option if you want Windows Explorer or the Macintosh Finder to automatically open to the folder where your scanned image is saved when Epson Scan finishes scanning.
6. Do one of the following, depending on the currently selected scan mode:
  • Home or Professional Mode: Click OK. Epson Scan starts scanning.
  • Full Auto Mode: Click OK, click OK again, then click Scan. Epson Scan starts scanning.
The scanned image is saved in the file and location you chose.
