The power switch's in those machines are crap. You can take the handle assembly out and replace switch with a new one. When took apart check voltage at switch to make sure you have power there. If no power, replace cord

I have the same problem. Fairly new machine, only been used a handful of times and now it wont turn on.
SOURCE: i cant get the brushes
Remove the brush assembly and insert a flat screwdriver into the square hole and be sure it turns. If it is seized up, the turbine assembly will require replacement. If it turns, be sure the brush control is set to the brush position and the filter is clean. The filter may be on top behind a clear plastic cap, or underneath in red plastic holder depending on the model. The brush will also not turn unless the lower tank is in place, and the handle released and tilted back.

If you are lucky the cord may be broken on the vacuum or the cable may be loose in the plug. and it's not the motor which is burnt out.
Have a look at these tips, they apply to power tools but are valid for home appliances also:

First this is complicated to diagnose with it not being in front of me. Where i would start if i were you is make sure it is all together correctly or simply take it apart and put it back together make sure all is there and seated proper and try it again also if you feel no resistance or hear no clicking sound from the on switch it just may be bad.
Make sure all water lines are not clogged with anything 1st. Then check to see if the switch/lever or button that actuates the spray is functioning/working. If it's a mechanical switch/lever etc, see if you can take it off and clean it thoroughly and check to make sure there are no broken parts. If it's an electrical switch/button or lever, you need to check and make sure it's clean, and all the contacts to wires are NOT broken or damaged. You may have to replace parts if they don't function.
