There are three exposed screws on the bottom of the machine that can be removed with a Phillips screwdriver. You also need to remove two of the four rubber feet with a Phillips screwdriver. The other two rubber feet also need to be removed, but they have some kind of specialty screw that needs a split-head screwdriver. I just removed them by twisting the entire foot with a pair of pliers. Then the panel pops off fairly easily, and there's the belt. As an aside, the drive belt on mine kept coming off, and just putting it back on didn't help because it would just fall off again. It turned out that the whole bottom of the machine was bent, so the motor gear wasn't lining up with the drive gear. Not sure if this is fixable.

How do I remove the back access cover on an Indesit WIE 167 washing machine to replace belt

Follow these procedures to remove the back access cover on an Indesit WIE 167 washing machine and replace the belt:

Disconnect the washer from the electrical outlet and turn off the water supply.

Move the washing machine away from the wall so that the back can be accessed.

Find the screws that secure the rear access cover. Often, they are positioned throughout the cover's perimeter.

Remove the screws using a screwdriver and store them in a secure location.

Carefully remove the washing machine's back access cover. Using a flat instrument, such as a putty knife or a scraper, to pull the cover away from the machine may be useful.

Once the cover is removed, the belt should be accessible. Remove the old belt from the machine with care.

Put the replacement belt on both the motor and drum pulleys.

Align the back access panel with the washing machine and secure the screws to reattach it.

Reconnect the washing machine and activate the water supply.

Verify that the replacement belt works properly by putting the washing machine through a series of tests.

When servicing a washing machine, it is essential to observe all safety precautions. If you are uncertain or uncomfortable with any of these processes, it may be better to call a skilled technician or service center for assistance.

Wheres the water pump

Hi there,

If your engine is the VQ35, then your water pump is located inside the engine cover.

Replacing the water pump is not a straight forward job, as it requires the removal of many external components (i.e. air ducts, grills, covers, belts, reservoirs etc) and internal components such as idler pulley, cranshaft pulley, tensioner etc. The coolant will need to be drained also.

CAUTION: do not spill coolant on the drive belts.

As per diagram, with engine cover removed the water pump (item # 1) can be found after removing the water pump cover (item # 5).

Unless you have access to the Factory Service Manual, I strongly advise you entrust this job to an Nissan agent who has experience in replacing a water pump on this model.

Note: allowing a non-experienced mechanic to perform this work, could result in unnecessary labor time and more cost to you, so you should take this into consideration when weighing up the costs.

Hope this answers your question.

How do I access the Stand Pipe of a Fav-1 Neptune top load washer to unblock whatever is in it? Trouble Code nd. It looks like I access it from the front but I don't want to break something by trying to...

Yea it a PITA for working on anything to do with the Drain Pump/Pressure Switch

Do you have the front cover off?

Front Cover access is it.

Do you have standing water in the Tub? If not the ND error code for No Drain may be false.

If you Power Cycle the machine will it clear the ND error code? If so put couple of gallons of water in the machine then (if you don't know how to turn the Drain Pump on in service mode) start a Spin Only cycle and observe the discharge line at the sink or bucket. It should empty less than 20 seconds.

If it does then the Pressure Switch contacts are stuck closed.

I'll post a pic of the Outer Tub removed while I was doing a Outer Tub Bearing job on my machine.

If you need additional help go to a real DIY forum. Google this; Neptune TL Washer FAV6800AWW

5 post down you will find a link to the Service Manual. You absolutely need the Service Manual to DIY issues with the machine. It's not the best SM but will get you started. I also have repair post in that sticky to help with the most common issues with the machine.

If you need help open a post in that repair forum and I will try help you through your issue.
The forum is free and my time is free I just don't want to waste my time in this forum. If you need additional help to troubleshoot the ND error code re-post in that forum.........D*ickfav6800awdiy_1.jpg

I have a Singer 478 sewing machine and need to replace the top gear on the verticle shaft. Is there a repair manual for doing this. There was not category expert on this so please direct to the correct...

This is an easy fix. a lot disassembly required, you will need to gain access through the belt side to the singer cover plate, four clips hold it on from the back side. Once that is off, two screw hold small access plate which is under the letters Sin, remove plate, rotate shaft to access screw through opening which holds Vertical Top Shaft Gear, Singer # 155819 in place. Remove bottom cover, locate belt pulleys (2), remove cam tensioner, with a hex wrench remove pulleys, this makes it easier to remove lower belt. with a long thin, blade screwdriver, loosen screw on gear (through small access cover), slide shaft downward Rand R gear, reverse process, done. Be sure you document removal, take pictures, mark references with marking pen. This makes reassembly easy. I just replaced mine, I am handy but not an expert, hope this helps you...

How do I change the belt in my Panasonic vac? MCV 9620

Hello,

Actually I just answered a similar question on how to open the power nozzle on a Sears Kenmore. The Sears Kenmore is actually made by Panasonic, and the repair is identical to replace the belt. Here's my other repair solution that includes a link to the Panasonic instruction manual that will walk you right through this repair;

I will also explain how to access the roller brush below, and if you'd like to see diagrams of how to do it, you may visit the link below to the Panasonic owners manual. Start at page 46, then go back to page 40.
http://service.us.panasonic.com/OPERMANPDF/MCCG973-MUL.pdf

In order to access the roller brush on this model, here's what you need to do. Underneath of the headlight cover, there are two screws that need to removed first. In order to get to these screws, simply push on both sides of the headlight cover, and lift it straight up while pushing both sides. After the headlight cover has been removed, you'll be able to visibly see the two screws that need to be unscrewed (phillips head screw driver). Remove these two screws next.

After the screws have been removed, turn the power head upside. If you look at both the left and the right sides, you'll see a little indentation on each side. All you need to do is put a flat head screwdriver in these indentations, and pry up on both sides. This will remove the top housing. Once you have top housing removed, you'll see there's one more cover that goes over the roller brush. There are two tabs on both sides behind the roller brush. If you squeeze these two tabs, you can now remove the white colored housing that covers the brush, and have full access to the brush.

I hope that this helps you repair your belt. If you found this repair helpful, please be sure to rate it by clicking the thumbs up icons in the top right hand corner. If you have any other questions about how to repair this, please feel free to request a clarification, or add a comment to the repair, and I'll be more then happy to help you.

Thanks very much,

Drive belt replacement on a Miele T230C tumble dryer

You must route the belt either in front of or slip it behind the drum to get it down to the drive wheel. You should remove the front panel to be able to do this the best.

Drive belt replacement.

If there is no rear access panel, then it is normally a cabinet off job, but it can be done from the top,
Lean the m/c towards you and with a bit of manipulation, you can actually fit the belt this way, it is awkward, but can be done.
