To install the Canon PIXMA MP190 Photo All In One Printer driver, download the version of the driver that corresponds to your operating system by clicking on the appropriate link below. this is due to the color management for winXP and win7 are different.. you can try to download the printer driver add on for win 7.. else you will have to install manually the color management.

Step 3: select "Pixma IP90"
Click "Go".
Click "Drivers and Downloads".
Select "OS is Windows 7".
Download the appropriate "Guides" and "Manuals", and read them.
Download the appropriate device-driver.
Follow the instructions in the "Easy Setup Instructions" guide.

You go to control panel>printers>print preferences> and uncheck the grayscale printing and set the color to auto.
Issue: Image prints black and white instead of color....See below.
Solution: Uncheck Grayscale Printing checkbox (Windows)

Unchecking Grayscale Printing Follow the steps below to change the Grayscale Printing option:

3. On the Main tab, click on the 'Grayscale Printing' check-box to remove the check-mark.
   
   
4. Click the 'OK' button to save the setting.

Yes! No WIA, no scanning! It means Windows Image Aquisition is not turned on... Not only will the scanner not work but also other Imaging devices like cameras. The best way to find out will be to try and scan from Microsoft Paint. Go to Start, all programs, accessories then look for paint. When paint opens, click file then from scanners or cameras. Try to scan, if it scans then WIA is ok.
It means is the scanner software that was not installed correctly so uninstall reinstall just the scanner software! If Paint does not scan, then its your computer's Operating system (winxp) at fault. Make sure WIA is started, or better try to restart that service (in control panel, administrative tools, services, look for Windows Image Aquisition, restart the service).
