Lately this TV has started showing wrong colors in different parts of the screen. Occasionally it would work alright, but most of the time wrong colors are shown. It started off as an occasional problem, but over time frequency of occurrence has increased.

Sometimes this would be because of T-CON going bad.
Sometimes it would be due to panel going bad and sometimes it may even be because of a bad connection in the LDVS cables between main board and panel - see if moving them affects picture.
The most common reason we have seen, though, is developing issue on the main board, which usually manifests in completely losing image (sound still works).

SOURCE: LG LCD TV - Buzzing Sound and Faint Horizontal Lines

From your description, the sound you are hearing is the inverter(s) that drive the back light for the LCD screen/module.
The inverters mounted on the back side (one lower right and one left side) of the LCD screen/module. They are under the sheet metal cover/shields.
The inverters are going out and or the LCD screen/module is going bad too.
That LG TV has only a 1 year on parts and labor from the date of purchase, but you could call LG and ask for their help for such a new TV. They might do it under a warranty, for little or no cost to you.
I hope this information has helped you.
Good Luck.

Color on half the screen has cool tones and half the screen has warm - different color tones on each half

Try to reset the picture back to default settings for the picture on your TV or there could be a problem with the HDM cable and the HDM cable needs to be replaced or there is an issue with the TV screen it's self and the colour with your TV too.

My LG LCD TV runs fine for about 30-40 mins then after it starts showing vertical lines and different colors over the video playing.

The vertical colored lines that usually show up on a TV's screen is caused by the T-Con board is not working properly. Lots of times this can very easily be caused by from wiring that is not been fully securely fastened.Or the T con board is not working and will have to be replaced.

How do i fix my lg plasma tv that has screen filled with multi collored vertical lines abd screen showint three bands of color green, light green and purple?

If you have to ask this, I assume you don't have the kills to repair a plasma TV. Then please don't start this. Opening it can be very dangerous, and without the technical skills, you even don't know where to look for. Most to the time I advice to visit ifixit, but this time they don't have the manual or video for LG. Perhaps they can show you some openings. But they never show you how to rebuild.
They can help with spare parts. So if you really want to do this yourself. On your own risk:

LG shows it will lose display in 3 seconds

hi the tv has detected a fault with the back lighting, now it could be a problem with the voltage to the back light or some of the leds in the back light have failed, it will turn off the back light when it finds a fault. behind the screen there is rows of leds on strips and they all light up when the screen is in use. and the main board knows they are lighting up by the voltage its using. when to many leds go out the voltage is too high so it will turn the back lights off to save them. also the same if the power board is not supplying the right volts. say the volts need to light the back screen is 64 volts and its only giving 62 volts the power is not right so it shuts down. same for if the volts go up to 64.5 volts it will do the same. hope this helps you under stand.

Back - light problem. Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis.
http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
To some model sets; especially LED back-lighted types; the back-light inverter circuit will be part of the main power supply board [SMPS]. In such cases, the power supply board might need replacement. To some models sets, the back-light inverter and SMPS section circuit will be integrated at its main board itself. If so; the main board should be replaced. To some models of sets, all these section circuit will be integrated at its main board. If this is the case, you have to replace the main board.

Compag laptop connected to LG HD TV. TV screen just show blues and greens, no reds. What do I need to do

To troubleshoot this, you must first start with the obvious. Check your cable connections/try replacing the cable. If this does not work you should then check the color settings in the tv. If that still does not work you can try connecting your laptop to a different monitor/tv. If the color shows up with the same problem, you know the issue is contained within the computer itself. Possibly bad VGA/HDMI Port or color management settings.
