I have an old Columbia Garden tractor is this a MTD

Normally, you could go through MTD for something like this, but it appears that it's not available from them anymore.

However, I found a tractor site that has some owners of your particular machine. They may be able to help you out.

go to MTD . COM and they'll give you everything... use the 14A number... the engine you'll have to go to that manufactures web site

go to WWW.MTD.COM they have the parts you need, most of the time. Depending on how old it is

Input your model info and/or manufacturer and they may or may not have your manual, but they have thousands of them.

Try your local NAPA store. Bring the old belt with you.

If you have the manual look and see if you are missing a spring on an idler. They sometimes break or get weak. Next how old is the belt because they will stretch. If you have a little play in the belt I would say it is stretched. If a lot of play then you are probably looking at a spring that is bad.

Check to make sure that the inline fuze is not blown on your switch to your deck. also make sure that the belt is free moving and not binding
