There are many possible reasons. Few pointers.
Disconnect antenna and check for static. If it is still there then turn off everything on boat , including battery charger and check for static. If is gone then start turning on electrical devices to narrow what is causing electromagnetic interferencw. If your still have static then disconnect all speakers right on stereo harness. Start connecting speaker to individual output to check for static. If there is no static then one of speaker wire installed on boat is shorted somewhere. If you have static when connecting speaker straight to stereo harness then likely internal ampflier inside stereo is a problem
You don't say what a 1055 is and it is hard to know what you are asking with a lack of ID on the equipment at fault. Sounds like a source selection problem maybe a switch or if electronics a CD4066 IC.
If you have a DVD player AND an FM Modulator then this is not a OEM part, meaning it's not in your service manual. An Original Equipment Manufacturer part wouldn't require an FM modulator. This is an aftermarket part, hardwired into your vehicle and the fuse should be located under your dash near the main power harness coming from the ignition.
Hi, I went thru user manual..there is no special way of wiring speakers.. pls check carefully the speaker connections again and the "speaker selector" too.. what about "MUTE" button ? it should be "OFF" ... and try to test it on FM radio first .. just in case ,if you need the soft USER MANUAL pls visit the URL below..
this is caused by static electricity running thru the earth cables of the speakers, try disconnecting the earth cables at the back of the stereo unit, and joining them all together, and re-earth them on the bodywork of the vehicle
Your FM tuner will only generate sound from the front sepakers. CD's, Tape, and I guess mp3 player, as well, will only play through the front speakers.
I've included a link for the manual. The audio on this rig is pretty complex. read through the info, especially pages 11,12,13, and play with the audio controls. http://support.radioshack.com/support_audio/doc61/61792.pdf
