My factory camera app is missing in my phone and in my app settings how do I get it back on my android phone

In the default camera app the Switch Camera icon appears on the right (portrait) or top (landscape) of the screen. In my version of Android it looks like a camera over an arrow disc, but in older versions looks like an old style camera with a circular arrow where the lens would be. Tap it and your view should toggle between front and back

Three Reasons Why Screen Lock is Gone
1. Screen Lock has been deactivated (Instructions how to activate are at bottom.)
2. Android Screen Security File may have been deleted, and screen lock option is no longer on your devise.(A Factory Reset will restore original Android files)
3. Malfunction Somewhere in Samsung Phone. (A Factory Reset might work, but not guaranteed)

How to ativate Screen Lock and Security settings

1. Press the apps icon, it usually at the bottom of screen.
2. Find Settings and press that button to open settings menu.
4. Scroll down the menu to Lock Screen and Security, press that to open options menu.
5. The first option at top is Screen Lock Type.Press and Open.
6. You will have 3 lock types to choose from. Swipe Lock, Passcode Lock, Password Lock
(advise, do not forget password, only a hard phone reset, or an apk lockout file will get you back in)

If activating screen lock through settings did not work, or if option is not available, you can try to reset phone to the way it was when you bought it.

There is a couple things you should know.
1. contacts, photos, videos, downloaded apps, games, and everything not on the phone when it was first bought, or when you first got the phone will be erased.
2. You can back up contacts, photos, videos, in settings menu, scroll down to Backup and Reset. Or save to an sd card, and remove sd card before applying reset option
3. If you have an account (google or android email) associated with your phone, you will need email address, ([email protected]) and password to get back in phone after phone resets and turns on.) Dont remember password, Please create a new password now before continuing to reset to manufacture settings.

Reset Phone to Manufacture Settings
1. Remove SD Card, or its saved files will be erased.
2. Open apps, Open Settings Menu, Scroll Down to Backup and Reset.
3. Scroll down to bottom of page to Factory Data Reset.
4. Follow instructions to reset phone.

When your phone comes back on, Swipe Screen Unlock should be active at phone turn on, if screen lock is not showing try again to turn on in security settings.
If still does not work,
I am sorry, Your phone has permanantly malfunctioned. You can try your phone store, or a phone repair shop.

Launcher is Missing is it a luncher app you downloaded from the playstore or is it the default launcher of your phone because if its just an app that you downloaded from the playstore its missing because a factory reset will erase all your data and apps

If its the dufault launcher is your phone rooted?
Did you perhaps uninstall the default launcher using a root tool like link to SD?

If you have uninstalled your default launcher then you would have to flash a stock rom from your phone's manufacturer or download a custom rom from the internet

Hard reset or factory wipe is a method of formatting any Android device ( tablet or mobile). By doing hard reset all the apps and files that are installed or created by the user will deleted. Even the memory card will get formatted. So before going for hard reset or factory swipe, it is suggested to remove the memory card if you do not want data to be erased

Try using app after each step.
First thing to try is somewhat obvious but restart your phone, will solve a majority of the little issues that pop up.
Go into settings/applications/manage applications, then click the all tab. If the camera app you are having issues came with the phone it will be named "camera", click clear data
Navigate to the same screen in settings and uninstall the application(Cannot uninstall the app that was preinstalled)
Use google market to install any high rated camera application.
Factory reset, this will wipe all of the information off of the phone, and return the software to the condition it was in the day you purchased it. Settings/SD card & phone storage/Factory data reset/Reset phone.
If none of these steps have fixed your issue contact your service provider, and they will be able to help you get a replacement. With any luck free of charge.

Regardless, to troubleshoot, please consider performing the following steps:

1. Shutdown your phone and start it up again. Try working with the Camera again.
2. If it is still not working, to validate if it is an issue with the native Camera app, please download Android Market camera apps like "Camera360 Free" or "FxCamera" and try clicking some pictures.

if its a market app download peacock photo gallery by something like comwmt. If its a default app that came installed you can try restoring android by going to the homescreen then hit menu then settings then go to privacy then factory data reset and it will delete everything you have on the phone and make it just like how it was when you got it. just make sure you have full battery life before doing this.
