Bob,

Those parts have long been discontinued. www.usaweld.com might have an adapter kit if you have a piecemaker 14A gun, or they have a complete replacement welding gun.

I need a gun for the Hobart beta mig 170 welding machine

Lots of torches are fairly universal and you are likely to find it cheaper to replace only the parts needed if you can find them - manufacturers tend to prefer to sell the torch (or gun) complete with the hose, cables and sheath and they are expensive though considerable savings can be made dealing with factors or independent supplier/repairers.

Most professional mig welders over here use the euro torch and when a welder doesn't have one and the torch is ready for replacing it is a worthwhile modification, especially if the necessary parts can be sourced secondhand or salvaged.
The euro torch just plugs into the machine and once the machine has been modified there are plenty of usable secondhand ones about that can be had for a song.

If you aren't conversant with the euro torch, try a search...

Those parts have long been discontinued. www.usaweld.com has a conversion kit that will convert the original Piecemaker 14A gun to the current hobart H10 parts.

I have an older Hobart beta mig II welder and the drive motor does not work when trigger is pulled. any ideas

Hi:

have you tried to by-pass the gun switch by disconnecting the gun cable (not the lead) and using a paper clip to by-pass the gun?. If the motor turns then you need to replace the gun switch if not probably the PC board fuse it's blown.

I'm looking to replace the mig gun on a Power Mig Astro Power 110, but would like to replace it with a Tweco. Any thoughts? Thanks....Bob

Easy enough, Your gas nozzle is compatible with a tweco part number 21-50, this nozzle has the insulator included
You can locate at any local weld supply like MSC Industrial or Praxair.

Hope this helps

Thanks

Hi i have a Hobart Beta-Mig 200 and i need a all new gun and wip.

Hobart machines now belong to miller brand, you can use a miller gun M15, no need for adaptors it's a direct plug connection. Praxair stores carry a cheaper gun under prostar label a 150amp gun will cost you around 150 bucks.

Have a Hobart Beta-Mig 170 Wire will not feed

First make sure the nozzle tip is free of any debris and the wire will slide easily. Lift the case and go to the wire feed unit. Loosen the pressure nob then lift up to release the pressure wheel. Make sure the bottom wheel ( should have two grooves, one for .35 wire and the other for 025 wire.) Make sure the Wire Feed Tip is also free and it allows the wire to pass through. Pass the wire through the feeder across the drive wheel and into the hose. Allow the pressure wheel to drop, then lift the pressure know to the upright position. Turn clockwise to put tension on the wheel. Make sure the gas is OFF, turn power on, depress trigger switch. This should allow the wheel to turn and feed the wire.

Mig replace tip

Pull off the extreme outer nozzle of the MIG gun. Clean the inside of this nozzle with MIG pliers or round wire brush. Unscrew the welding tip. (If it is stuck, try using a pair of pliers lightly). Clean the entire area with a regular wire brush. Screw on the new tip finger tight, but snug. Replace the outer nozzle.
