It's not possible. It depends what service area you are in and what signal is available.

By delete, do you mean, completely hide this? If so, all you need to do is turn your Mobile network data off, or in other words, your 3G.

My sony erricsson mobile shows always on net symbol (globe symbol) this causes reduction in battery charge and net usage charges. what do i do to disable that symbol and use it only if i wish

in some sony ericsson model symbol of net mean you have activated GPRS facility (like S500i) it dosent consume yourinternet charges, yes it can **** you battery but that depend on network bandwidth, if network is gud the no need to worry.

My nokia mobile phone 2760, it is showing E symbo in the top. When i make a call this "E" symbol stricked out with back slash. Why?

Hi, the E symbol is nothing but EDGE which is used to connect for Internet. It means you have enabled the EDGE or GPRS connection Always Online option on your Cellphone.

Here's how to disable it: Please open Menu>Settings>Connectivity>Packet Data>Packet Data Connection>When Needed.

This will make connection to EDGE or GPRS only when you use Internet on your Cellphone.

When you make a Call the E symbol is strike out because the call connection will disconnect the Internet Connection.

Hiii!! I have a LG KP500 Cookie handset and using Aircel sim. I got the gprs settings from my network provider and saved them on the handset as default settings. However, I could not connect to gprs. The...

The main thing is Ur service provider is not providing internet access/signals but provding only normal signals. So, first make a call to the customer care & ask him about this/give a complaint abt not receiving gprs signals.
Or
goto SETINGS>CONNECTIVITY>PACKET DATA CONNECTION & selectthe option "when available". By default, "when needed" will be selected.
After selecting "when available", U should see a symbol "E" i.e., EDGE in the place of Ur network signal receiving i.e., at the beginning of top corner.
If U can see "E" symbol instead of TOWER symbol, U can bowse the net r else U cant.
If U want to test this try this once. I think U may not be shown "E" symbol at Ur current loaction. SO, see this symbol ewhen U pass by another area other than Ur current location. U'll see this "E". "E" ==> whether U are in the range of internet signal. If "E" is shown ==> U r in the region or else U r out of range. So, first make a complaint against this to ur customer care. I too faced this prob earlier using DOCOMO SIM. But now am comfortable after getting my problem solved by my service provider...... For more details: mail to me at: [email protected]......

G on My Screen

1. That symbol-G is the symbol that is seen when you opt for GPRS in your cell phone.
2. You can remove that by following these steps.
go to settings- go to connectivity settings--go to packet data--packet data connection--opt for when needed to get rid of that G symbol.
