I have found to culprits that cause Freezes ( lock up). First is the G.P.U. has intermittent contact to the main board , and the second is a chip called the" South Bridge" aka bios. has lost communication to the G.P.U.and or C.P.U.
What i normally do is re flow the G.P.U. then clamp it back to the main board . And than if we still Freezes up ill reflow and or place a South Bridge clamp on the offending chip.
This will remedy the problem average mean time to failure 9-12+ months
Google search the board game and rules. With a little research you should be up and playing in no time. Maybe you could put the board game up in the FixYa questions and someone will have a solution for you.
