Cuisinart bread maker wont start

Some bread machines warm up before the kneading process begins especially on whole wheat cycles. If your machine hasn't started kneading after about 1/2 hour then you do have a problem but, give it time before you give up on it....

I get an E-01 message when I set the settings and press start on my Cuisinart bread maker. Help!

I'm pretty sure that means the cook chamber is either too cold or too hot Are you putting cold water or cold milk etc. as a liquid without warming the liquid up to about 80 degress fahrenheit first? If you are warming your liquids then you have a more serious problem with your bread machine and you will probably have to have it serviced.

My cuisinart CBK-200 wont switch on, tried with different plug point, still the machine will not start. The Bread Pan wont come off. Please help. Best Regards, John Joseph

Inspect the cord thoroughly for breaks. Make sure that the plug points are clean and fit snugly into the wall-socket.

Put some hot water into the the bread-maker (disconnect the plug first) and wait a few minutes. Then clean it out and try to pull up the bread-pan.

Press and hold start button for 10 seconds or so, cleared....

Program the number of hours from the present time when the bread should be ready.

Has something fused? Is there any sign of life? Is there a light on? Is the pan in correctly and lid closed? Is it old?

I am having the same problem, pressing the start button does nothing. The lights are on but nobody is home so to speak.

Tried with pan in & out. Unplugged machine & when I plugged back in same result. One other thing, the screen is blank.

Update Jan 28.16: I had unplugged the bread machine where it wasn't working & yesterday I plugged it back in one last time before I got rid of it & wala now it's working great.
