Cleaning of a camera lens is only allowed with special less fluid, because the coating on the lens can easily be damaged. The coating is essential, for correct working of the lens. It corrects aberration, flairs and adds to the sharpness of the lens. fluids like alcohol must not be used. You also can buy a lens pen to remove smudges, but first read how to use it.
They come in different sizes, so choose the correct one for your lens, if you want one.
When the dark spot is on the inside of the lens you can't remove it. It could be molt and will eat its way through. Where the molt is, the coating is gone, so removing it, will change the characteristics if the lens forever.

How to clean lenses of night vison

Cleaning the lenses of night vision devices requires some care and attention to avoid damaging the delicate components of the device. Here are some steps to clean the lenses of a night vision device:
  1. Use a blower brush: Use a blower brush or a can of compressed air to blow away any loose dust or debris on the surface of the lens. This will prevent scratching the lens when you wipe it later.
  2. Use a microfiber cloth: Use a microfiber cloth specifically designed for cleaning lenses to gently wipe the lens in a circular motion, starting from the center and working outward. Be careful not to apply too much pressure, as this can damage the lens coating.
  3. Use lens cleaning solution: If the lens is still dirty, you can use a small amount of lens cleaning solution. Apply the solution to the microfiber cloth, not directly on the lens. Wipe the lens gently, and then use a dry part of the cloth to remove any excess moisture.
  4. Repeat if necessary: If there are still spots or dirt on the lens, repeat the cleaning process until the lens is clean.
To remove dark lines on the lens of a night vision device, you can try the following steps:
  1. Use lens cleaning solution: If the dark lines are caused by dirt or debris, you can try using a small amount of lens cleaning solution and follow the cleaning steps mentioned above.
  2. Use a lens pen: If the dark lines are caused by smudges or fingerprints, you can try using a lens pen specifically designed for cleaning lenses. These pens have a soft brush on one end for removing loose debris and a microfiber tip on the other end for wiping away smudges.
  3. Contact the manufacturer: If the dark lines persist or if they are caused by a defect in the lens, you may need to contact the manufacturer for assistance or repair.
It's important to note that cleaning night vision lenses can be tricky and it's best to follow the manufacturer's instructions or consult a professional if you're not sure about how to clean them. Also, avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that can damage the lenses.

My panasonic Lumix DMC-ZX1 shows 3 dark spots and 2 hairs on all pictures. When I zoom-in the dirt is more visible and when I zoom-uit I dont see the hairs any more and the dark spots appear wider and...

Yes, you can clean. Not as complex as I originally thought.
1) Remove all of the silver screws
2) Separate the silver case (should split in 2)
3) Remove the 3 black screws in the middle
4) remove the center square cover that is over the lens
5) Use a duster spray to clean the lense and mirror
6) Reassemble in reverse order
Not knowing what I was going to get in, the entire process only took about 7-10 minutes.

How do I get rid of tiny spots that are appearing on my images?

Dark spots are usually the result of dust or dirt on the lens. If a simple soft bristle brush (1/8" wide paint brush is ideal) can't dislodge the debris, you should purchase a lens cleaning kit available from camera stores. They run about $10. These are great to removing these and other contaminants such as finger prints, smudges, etc. High end lenses have special optical coatings and the special cleaning fluid included won't leave a residue - or damage the coatings.

If the spots are bright or colored, (or dark after cleaning above) the electronic sensor inside the camera has a "hot" or "stuck" pixel. This problem is usually not worth fixing due to cost.

I hope this helps - and good luck!

Mainly with Sky back gounds of blue there are dark spots appearing on the picture which are not due to marks on the lens. On Lighter sky photographs they are not as noticable or disappear. Change the lens...

The spots are dust on your sensor. You can clean these yourself but you must learn the techniques first. Google the words...cleaning a DSLR sensor. You will be taken to sites which will explain in detail how to do it and what supplies you will need. It may seem daunting at first, but it is really easy once you know how.

Canon power shot sd1000 black dot on lens

If by saying the upper right corner of the lens you really mean that there is a dark spot on each image AND the rear display, there may be dirt or dust on the lens itself. Clean the lens with an optical quality cleaner. Do not use paper towels and Windex or the like - as paper towels can scratch the lens.

It is also possible that the dark spot is a "stuck pixel" on the image sensor inside the camera. There is no way to repair a stuck pixel outside of replacing the sensor. Any dark spot (regardless of source) can be edited out by using image editing software. This will allow you to to make the dark spot less noticeable - or practically invisible.

If the dark spot is on the rear display only, it can also be a result of a "stuck pixel" on the display itself. This should not show up an images, but only on the display. There is little that can be done outside of replacing the entire rear screen.

There are other things that can cause these problems, but those listed above are the most common.

I hope this was Very Helpful and good luck!

Dark circular spot on Ricoh R6 screen and images

There is a spec of dirt that made it inside the camera and has landed itself on your image sensor.

If you take a picture and the image has a spot on it, it could be the screen. If you transfer it to your computer and the spot is in the same spot, its something on the image sensor. You would have to send it out for cleaning, and a new camera would be cheaper.

Remove lens

GOT IT!!! I had the same problem. Took all of the screws out of the thing and disconnected the PCB. That allowed me to take the Lenses unit out. Once I did that, dismantle the Phillips screws from the rear of the lens and pull the lens apart. I found a Little White speck of dust on the Sensor. Took that off, put it all back together and it’s like New!! Chuffed. Hope you have as much Luck as I Did. :D

Dark Blotches

This is probably caused by dust, either on the mirror, lens, or possibly inside the light engine. There is a 5" dia hole on the side of the back of the tv where you can take out one screw and take the door off. this is just big enough for you to put your hand through to clean the mirror and lens. Hope this helps.
