Have you got something caught in it? Is it still under warranty? I am guessing but the mechanism inside the base should drop when you push to twist. Check is this is happening. If not then that may be the problem

This happenned to my daughter's nutribullet recently. All three parts of the grip and starting mechanism were stuck. I took the machine apart and found where the grips operate up and down on coil springs. Took them out, placed some grease in the holes, and reinserted the springs and other mechanisms. After I reassembled the blender, it works perfectly.

I went to plug in my bullet and it won't turn on.

There's 3 tabs on the inside of the base that get pushed down when you push the cup in. Two of them have switches on them, sometimes they can break. Make sure they are being pushed down. If not, it could be one of the switches inside.

Magic bullet nutribullet is on base and does not want to start when I twist

There are 3 white plastic posts on the top inside of the power base. Push these downward to loosen it. Its full of sticky stuff because of overfilling. You can also put some oil on it. Buy parts from ebay and amazon seller amazingearth.

Blade stuck in nutribullet

I took it apart by removing the rubber spindle and three small screws. Then soak it in vinegar and rinse to remove food gunk. Lastly, re-lube with cooking oil (I used olive oil) by pouring onto back shaft and spinning the blades to suck in the oil. Reassemble. I still have to replace mine as the spindle is loose due to the bearings being worn out but at least it is useable again until then.
