When asking questions on this site, it is most helpful to those of us who try to answer your question if you would provide Make and model # of the product you are inquiring about. So many TV use different modes of menus etc. that your most general question is impossible to answer without you providing more information.
Thank you.

Have you checked your MUTE Button?
Have you checked your Connections on the Back?
Does the Numbers go UP and DOWN?
Have you Recently unplugged the TV?
Is this a NEW TV and you need to go into the SET-UP? ( I had to recently do this with my SCEPTRE TV)

Volume problem

I would try going into the settings and seeing if any Audio Limitations are set.

Sometimes this cannot be controlled due to the devices connected to the TV set.

Also try to cold boot the TV by unplugging for 5/10 secs and plugging it back it.

Been having sound problems for 6 months.. At first i could just adjust the volume up and down and it would come back on now it won"t come on at all. picture perfect just no sound. Tryed changing from...

ensure TV's 'mute' is not on. use buttons on TV to adjust volume up and down. if not working properly, you may have a volume adjustment on your cable modem which needs to be turned up to maximum. if sound works, all is well. if sound still not acceptable your TV needs repair.
if TV buttons adjust volume OK, and your remote for TV does not properly adjust volume, try fresh batteries. if
remote still not working properly, you can buy replacement on EBay or try a genaric remote from a dollar store. also, i may have an extra remote for you.

I have a pioneer vsx 517 receiver. The volume on the fm setting plays just fine but when switched to tv sat i have to turn the volume all the way up to hear anything. It work fine before. just trying to...

That would depend on where the (unidentified) TV audio comes FROM. If it's the analog output of the TV, the TV has a volume control hidden somwhere in a menu. Or you could select the FIXED output so its volume control has no effect on external use of the audio.

If the TV audio comes from a Cable Box analog output, IT might also have a control that varies the volume out. Disable it.

VOLUME CONTROL APPEARS ON T.V. OCCASIONALY

Hi,

the volume control is apprearing on the TV because the volume button on the TV is partially stuck in, that is why its coming up occationally. This same thing may also happen to the remote control of the TV.

Use your find to rub the buttons on the buttons on the TV, espcially the volume control button. Do same on the remote and most definately problem should be solved.

Please give me a feedback if solution does not work for you.

Yours sincerely.

Low volume on some channels

Well, some TV stations do broadcast at different volume levels. This is very noticeable when watching a TV show and the volume seems normal and then when a commercial comes on, the volume is very loud. They do this to get you to pay attention to the commercial. Another problem might be that you are adjusting volume from both your TV and your cable box. What you should do is make sure your cable box is set to "FIXED VOLUME" and then just adjust your TV volume. Fixed volume will have the cable box output only one volume level, letting the TV do the adjustment. Just go through your cable box setting and look in the audio settings. Hope This helps...
