Drivers have an entry in preferences/page setup where you can rotate the data on the page. Look for ‘Oreintation’ settings or ‘Layout Settings’ called ‘Portrait’ & ‘Landscape’. Also the software being used to send the data will have settings in it to rotate the data, most likely. Look for Options or Edit in the software and see if there are any settings for rotate.”

SOURCE: Zebra 105sl - printer does not print correct size

This can happen if you have the wrong dpi setup. For instance the 105sl can be either 203dpi or 300dpi. If your printhead is 300dpi and the label you create is expecting 203dpi, then you will see shrunken label. Your situation doesn't exactly sound like this is the case but it may be worth checking.

SOURCE: I have a zebra 2844 - it finally prints the right

It is because you do not have a factory original power supply. If you watch the printer or power light on the power supply I would bet it turns off and then back on again. Don't pay attention to the power supply specs they can be weak. Get a Hitek Plus 120 or 220 or FSP50-11 it will work. Good Luck.

On the Zebra it was printing 4x13 labels without a problem. However when I tried to print a 4x6 label it still thought there was 4x13 stock in the printer. I played around with the label format size, even...

I think this is more related to the calibration of the label each time you change the new label size. I use ZM400 and your printer should also have the same setting. Under setting, put the When Head Close setting to Calibration. This will let the calibration perform automatically when ever you load a new label size and close the print head. Well 2 label will be lost every time.

My printer s4m is printing one side of the label the alignment is far right on the label

Check the size of the label that you are using if you are using label design software. If you are using another software, check your left margin setting. Hope this helps!

Having problems with printer margins. It will print the first label correctly then the next 4 or 5 it will mess up the margins and print out on two labels

You Have to set label size in the printers driver. A hundred diferent label sizes can be used but the driver must know the size to layout the bitmap correctly

Goto printers and faxes then right click on your zebra printer driver. Left click properties and then left click the advanced tab, then left click printing defaults button. In the zebra designer driver size is on this page. The Zebra Universal driver you click a few levels deeper by clicking paper output then paper size. If your size is not listed in the drop down arrow then click customize, then highlight user defigned on the upper left off the screen and enter your correct label size.

When trying to print Avery Labels L7160 the top few labels print within each label 'frame' BUT towards the end of the page the labels are printed further up and therefore are out of the label 'frames' ALSO...

For Word 2007/Word 2010
1- Click on the Office button
2- Select Print then Print again.
3- In the Zoom section make sure 'Scale to paper size' is set to 'A4'
4- Click on the Properties button.
5- Click on the Paper / Quality tab, then click on Advanced.
6- In the Paper/ Output section it has Paper size. To the right you have a drop down menu . Make sure A4 is selected and not letter, then click on OK.

3- There may also be other options in your printing preferences such as 'Print Area', 'Scale to Fit Page Size' or 'Page Margins. These will all need to be set correctly for your design to print 100% e.g. Print Area set to Maximum, Scale to fit Page Size disabled and Page Margins set to Minimized.

Some printers ( for example Epson printers ) have a 'Reduce /Enlarge' facility that defaults to 94% or 97% (instead of 100%). To set this to 100% click the 'Layout' tab and in the 'Reduce/Enlarge' section select 'Custom' you should then be able to change the scaling to 100%.

Label will print up/down with the letters sideways

The printer will only print the information it receives. The software and the driver is in charge of sending information to the printer, and if something is wrong is because any form configuration options is not correct. Try re-installing the software again or load the default parameters. Also try to design a new format.

Paper size is incorrectly set!.....

Merlin's idea, of what paper Lex has, and Lex's are different or you have loaded Lex's tray with the paper sideways

Your in Oz so it would be A4 standard and I guess your trying to print B5 script. Try these

The printer has been loaded with one size paper but thinks it is another. change printer settings via keypad on printer

The B5 scripts paper is being loaded sideways instead of length ways or visa verse

There is a incorrect setting in the printer driver that is set up for this specific printer that 'merlin' uses, check print driver setting (control panel, printers and fax, right click on lexmarkt642's icon, properties and check properties fully) in windows software that is running under merlin, also check merlin settings if any for this printer

Envelopes and labeles

Go the "print" dialog and select "settings". Ensure that the paper size, margins and orientation are not set for 8.5x11.  You did not mention the software you are using to print the envelopes/labels so this is the only guess I can give.   I have seen software that made me have to override the settings before.
