If the settings on your ipad haven't changed, the problem is with sbcglobal.net -- test by logging in via webmail at their site. It could be something as simple as them forcing a password reset, and you not getting the message. If the old settings work with a new account, that's the most likely scenario.

I assume you have already verified internet connection. Depending on your device and email client, a few different issues might be causing your problem...some email clients require you to login after certain lengths of time. Perhaps logging out and back in from your device will fix this. Also, there is a push email or pull email functionality on many devices. If yours somehow became set to pull, it will only download your email messages when you ask it to. It would be helpful to know your device and email service for a more directed answer.
I don't want to sound crass Olive but did you forget your password. Is this a new tablet and are you connected to internet? Thank you and leave me some feedback please.
This is and ongoing problem with the new OS's. If you delete the email account and redo the email setup this usually helps. Ex. If you have a Optimum (Cablevision) email acct you need to use mail.optimum.net NOT mail.optonline.net cause Apple is not recognizing the old server names. So check with your email provider if the server names to setup have changed. I know that changing your email address can be a pain but if you go to a GMail email acct this will solve a lot of the problems that occur when using cable provider email accounts. Also there is a software that will notify all your contacts that your email has changed that you can implement if you choose.
There is no reason they shouldn't be able to. If they both have the same email address configured for them, then you would get the same email on both devices. If they have different email addresses configured, then they would only receive the email for the address configured on the device.
First, always double check the intended recipient's email address. Next, email yourself with an alternate email address to verify that its not a setup issue on your iPad. If you don't receive it, then check that you are logging into your email service properly. If everything checks out on your end (you received the email you sent to yourself and their address is correct) then I would suggest its an issue with the recipient's service and they need to make sure they are not filtering you out.
1. Are you connected to wifi? 2. If you are, proceed to third step 3. Check that your email address and password are entered correctly for your account. 4. If you are still not receiving emails, Google the default port numbers for your email provider and check them against the port numbers in the Mail app settings .
Email accounts can be hard to sort out if you don't know what you are doing. Have you thought about changing your email address to someone like Hotmail, Google, Yahoo. It is easy to register with them and you should need to do anything for them to work properly. What sort of PC are you using? It will help if I know so I can answer the question about copying and pasting. With a laptop you put your pointer to the start of the text you want to copy and then click on the left side of the trackpad and keep pressure on and move from left to right until all the text you want to copy is highlighted. You can now let go of the trackpad and press you Command key + C or go to the menu bar and select Edit and then Copy. The url is now copied, now to paste you put the pointer to where you want the url to be and simple press command Command key + V (on a Macbook) or go to Edit again and select paste from the drop down menu. You should now have copied and pasted your url? Hope that is of help.
