Battery shows fully charged but after about 5 mins tablet powers down and I get a battery symbol showing fully discharged with a warning triangle inside it. When I plug it back into the charger the battery symbol shows fully charged within a minute.Sometimes the pad will stay on for awhile but more often the battery shows fully discharged with the warning triagle in it. Is there any way of fixing the charging problem

When you have the charger plugged into the tablet and wall outlet does the triangle change to a lighting bolt if it doesn't change try a different changer either the charger or charging port or charging cable might be bad

Its probably because of your tablets power source. If you have used your tablet very often then it will begin to cause the battery to drain more quickly and it will also not fully charge. It could also be a problem with your charger. There could be a short in it or something else that would cause it to stop charging the device at a certain point. The tablet isn't powered by a removable battery so don't try to open up the back and tear out any circuit that you think is the battery as this may cause even more damage to your tablet. If you have a warranty on the device then try taking it to the store you bought it from and see if they can help, but if you don't then be prepared to spend some cash. You could also take it to a tech store (if you know of one) and maybe they could run a diagnostic on the tablet to see what's wrong. If you're trying to charge your tablet while its turned on it could also be the amount of apps that you have installed on your device. Apps can actually cause put a strain on the battery and cause it to preform poorly. Try to avoid large apps (apps that take up a lot of space) because they can actually cause the device to run slower and it will also force more power to be drained from the battery which in turn will keep the battery from charging fully while its on. Try either one to see which one works for your device.
