Hi,
To remove Bios security password login in Bios then go to the security tab and remove the password.
Or the mother board jumper reseting can remove the password of the Bios without Bios login.
IF you set the BIOS password then when you power on the notebook it you would be ask you every tiem BIOS password and not if you want to remove bios password then go in BIOS utility then remove bios password
At this time you need to cleat the BIOS password first so that you can get into BIOS. To cleat the BIOS password you need to open your laptop you just remove the battery first. Remove the screw and open the back cover. Locate the CMOS battery, all password are stored in CMOS memory.
Remove the CMOS battery to clear the stored BIOS password, Or you can remove also the CMOS jamper near the CMOS battery and turn on the unit with in 10 second and turn off. Reinsert the jamper. Now the BIOS password are already clear you can get now in BIOS to change some settings. Good luck
go to www.ibm.com go to support page, download the service manual of your model first, it will show you how to reset your bios password or remove your bios passord, usually remove the bios password, it is your CMOS battery (look like a calculator battery) unplug it, and put it back on again, your bios password should disappear. make sure remove the battery first.
