It tells me to check broadband connection which I have done still nothing happens.Hopefully this will not end up in the camera section as it did the last time any ideas?

Please try deleting the drivers , then reloading.

It will look for the connection again, and hopefully find it this time.

By browser not opening, are you saying that you click on it and nothing happens? If it is saying cannot connect, then it is a network issue and not necessarily a browser issue. Under the Help and Support section of your computer you should find a network troubleshooter guide

Try restarting your modem. Just flick the switch off for 5 seconds and turn it back on. I had the same problem over the summer, this seemed to work the best.

I assume you have a broadband connection which you are directly to your computer.

In that case please connect the broadband ethernet cable to one of your switch port.
Get a new CAT5 or CAT6 ethernet straight cable and connect one end to any free port of the DES-1008D 8-Port Ethernet Switch and other end to your Computer.

No configuration needed to be done on DES-1008D 8-Port Ethernet Switch

If I remember correctly, you needed to install the software and the drivers before connecting the camera by USB cable. It should all have been done with the camera not connected.
If you did it while it was connected, you must try uninstaling the software, and going into Device Manager and finding the specific driver fot that camera and Kodak, and removing that too.
Then restart your PC and start fresh.
Do the Software and Driver installation without the camera being installed or attached.
Once you have done the installation of software and driver, then, following the instructions, you can attach the camera and it should work this time.

If you can access the configuration page of the router then check the IP configuration. Check WAN and LAN configurations. IP 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 will able u to access configuration page. Username and password hopefully be admin admin.

When you set your router up to connect to your broadband you had to access the router through your web browser.
Do the same again and then check the Wireless section and follow the instructions on screen.

My camera stopped working during a wedding. The lens is stuch out, it will power on, but right after turning on, it beeps 3 times, then turns off.
