try checking windows control panal too see if you have drivers installed. if o.k. try sound icon to see if you have ticked mute box. here's the one that got me,the dvd playing program had the mute box ticked. re-launch dvd played/media played and un-tick. good luck
Well you can only play sound through one device at the same time.
If you wish to change the device to play audio from, using windows 7, go to the bottem corner of your screen, to the system tray.
You will there see a speaker icon, rightclick it and click sound devices.
Then figure out which device your headphones are (if there's multiple speakers showing up).
Click the speaker you want to use and click the set as standard button.
You may have to restart the applications currently playing sound in case they don't play sound anymore or they still play through the wrong device.
Try to disconnect the input connector of your speaker and touch the input jack of the unit if you hear a hazing sound it means your speakers are working properly but if you don't hear any sound your speakers are bad. Open the speaker unit and check the amplifier section of your unit. If you don't see any burned electronic component inside. Check the wiring of your unit. To check if the audio of your computer is working. Plug in the input a headset if you hear a sound while you playing a music in your computer it means the audio of your computer is working good.
the sound on utube is only stereophonic, hence you will get only stereo putput. If you play anything recorded as quadraphonic or above all your speakers will give sound output.
Hi lorenzogoode You don't need drivers for these speakers : it's a plug and play system . Check your connections , power supply and volume settings . Best regards , fanaudi .
The amplifier that drives the built in subwoofer has stopped working. The first thing to do is check that the power cord is plugged in to a live power outlet. Next, replace the fuse which you'll find on the large black metal plate on the back of the speaker. Use only the size and type fuse specified. If that does not work contact Definitive customer service at (800) 228-7148.
take the headphones out play the music full volume then put the headphones in and lower the music all the way down then your volume will be normal and it will only play in through the head phones unless you take headphones out then it will play through speakers
First check if you have the speakers pin (green) connected in tothe proper green socket on the back of the computer.
If yes, then right click on the sound / speaker icon that is near to your clock on the right bottom, and click "Adjust audio properties"
Now click the sounds tab in the audio properties.
Select any sound from the list under program events, and click the play button near the browse button. It should play a sound.
If you are not able to hear any sound BUT the play icon changes to the stop icon for a few moments, it means the sounds play alright but something is wrong with the speakers or the connections.
