Hello there The LR error on your non-spinning Maytag Neptune is usually, though
not always, accompanied either by a burn spot or a blown fuse on the
Motor Control Board.

Either way, it means just one thang: a new motor and motor control board kit are in your future.
usually unplugging it will reset the ECU ( main control board ). is the door lock operating correctly? i have seen them do that if he door look isnt functioning correctly. the owners manual might be helpful if you can find it or maybe download it from maytag site.
Unplug the unit for 5 minutes to reset the control. if the control continues to remain locked, this will confirm board failuer and, you will need to replace this control board.
Possibly the main control board, or maybe the touchpad. Take the back off of the console and you'll find the tech sheet, it will walk you through the steps the test each.
you mean it doesnt spin , but does it goes thru the wash cycle?? if yes , then its not the main motor thats defective,it could be the DRAIN MOTOR PUMP ,COULD BE CLOGGED
Is the lock door light on if not change the wax motor & the main control board (board is approx $169.00+).That is the problem unless the belt slipped off .Common neptune issue you have will most likely repeat itself so,you decide from there.
open panel at rear of control panel usning phillips head and 5/16 the board attached to that panel will probably have a burnt r14 r1 or r21 resistor. this has been an ongoing problem with this model even a class action lawsuit.(lawsuit expired 9/2005) you can change the board but this will eventually happen again maytag directs you to do a full conversion kit rebuild about $400
You need to replace the wax motor, part # 12002535, every time you pull the ripcord. The cord is made to break the wax motor. Also check the control board to see if the R-11 resistor is burned out and replace the board if it is. Congrats if it is not, the control board and wax motor work together and if one is inop it will burn out the other.
