There are SEVERAL services out there now other than Netflix if you are looking for a movies that you don't see on Netflix. I highly suggest a Smart TV with apps on it already. Amazon Prime is one kind of service with Netflix does not have it. Sometime Hulu Plus is another.

Not every program is available for streaming, nor is every movie. Netflix is able to strike a deal with some movie studios and television content providers to make their movies or shows available for streaming.
For other content, you have to rely on viewing the DVD/Blu-Ray discs available through the Netflix disc service, which costs an additional charge each month. Then you can create a list of discs to be delivered to you in sequence (watch it, return it, get the next disc).
As you browse the Netflix list of programs/movies, you will see a 'Play' button if the content is available for streaming. If you don't see the 'Play' button, you have to watch the disc version.
If you don't want to add the disc service to your Netflix account, you can always use Redbox, which *MAY* have the program/movie you want to watch on disc.

Why do Netflix movies keep stopping?

It could possibly be a slow internet connection speed. Netflix posted requirements. This is a good site to check your speed. http://www.speedtest.net/ Internet Connection Speed Recommendations Below are the Internet download speed recommendations per stream for playing movies and TV shows through Netflix.
  • 0.5 Megabits per second - Required broadband connection speed
  • 1.5 Megabits per second - Recommended broadband connection speed
  • 3.0 Megabits per second - Recommended for SD quality
  • 5.0 Megabits per second - Recommended for HD quality
  • 25 Megabits per second - Recommended for Ultra HD quality
HD Video Quality
Movies and TV shows we have available in high definition will play in 720p or better with a fast enough internet connection. To watch Netflix in HD, ensure you have a HD plan, then set your video quality setting to High in the Playback Settings for your account.
Netflix Bandwidth Usage
Higher quality video uses more bandwidth than lower-quality video. If your service provider applies a bandwidth or data cap to your Internet service, you canManage Bandwidth Usage by changing the video quality settings to Low or Medium to consume less data.

I have just bought a 39" HD Ready 1080P LCD TV . Can I get Netflix on it. It is a Freeview TV,

You would have top pay for Netflix and you will need some way of receiving the signal I don't know what you mean by free TV but I don't think the cable companies and the movie services will give anything away except for a trial period

Do I need a special box to hook Netflix to my TV?

You can use many different types of devices to connect Netflix to your tv. Some include streaming boxes, blu-ray dvd players, or gaming consoles. A full list can be found on the Netflix website.
