Is the ice maker working OK?

yup,
i would turn your freezer down a few degrees, you are more than likely expeiancing, whats called migration frost, cold air from the freezer, could be freezing your water resivoir or the line from it
causing bad pressure

Is there a filter on the back of the refrigerator that the water line hooks to? I can't remember if all of them have one or not. It sounds like either your water line is clogged or the valve feeding the line might have been turned way down. I would turn the valve off, disconnect the hose from the refrigerator and put the end in a large bowl or bottle and have someone turn the water on to see if you have good flow through the line. Best of Luck

The water line is freezing in the door due to deteriorated insulation. The only fix I have found to work on my fridge was to defrost the inside door with a blow dryer. Then place a weedeater replacement line (the orange 10" or so size you find at Lowes' or Home Depot) up through the dispenser nozzle, If the line only travels about 3-4 inches up the nozzle, then ice is still in the tube. Blow dry it until you are able to get water to dispense. After the tube is ice-free, place the weedeater line up throuth the dispenser nozzle leaving about 1/8" sticking out. The dispenser will still work with the line stuck in it. The dispenser will probably freeze again in about 8 hours, But all you need to do each time this happens is to pull the weedeater line out, dispense the water to unclog the ice, and place the weedeater line back in the nozzle. I have been using this method for about a week now and it works great. My GE Side-by-side is also 4 years old and this seems to be a problem with all of them. There is a part you can order to fix the problem, but I have heard it may not work.
I appreciate your post, friend!
I understand that your icemaker is dispensing ice cubes at a slow pace inside of your Frigidaire refrigerator. You could have a slow ice production due to your water filter or water valve. I would suggest checking to make sure your house supply is fully opened and check to make sure your filter does not need to be replaced. This could also be an issue with your water valve. Since it could be anyone of these underlying issues I would recommend contacting a professional technician for proper diagnosis and repair. This will also help you to avoid any unnecessary part purchases. -Matt
