Denon are still operating I suggest you contact them. They should be able to answer your questions and give you a manual.

Lost Windows password:

• Log in as Administrator (try safe mode if you don't see Administrator).
  
• Login as other user (if other user is availible) and manage users.
  
• Reformat computer.
  
• Use 3rd party software to remove password. Like http://www.top-password.com/reset-windows-password.html

You could see that proper connections in the owners manual. If you don't have the manual, just type the boards type in any browser and download the manual!
