Hi,

Many times a freezer and/or refrigerator do not work right because of a dirty condenser coil...there are also many other things that can go wrong.

If you are hearing a clicking or buzzing then check out the last two tips.

Probably needs freone.

Make sure arm on side of ice-maker is in down position.

Change the relay. If you hear the click it means power is getting there. Must be the innards of the relay are shot. Take the relay off and shake it. If it sounds like a salt shaker it is bad.

if all of that is running your ref. should be cooling.can you hear your compressor running?or can you hear it run for a few seconds and click.If you hear a clicking noise the relay to compressor has gone bad,if it is running then you have a leak in the sealed system.

amana runs power to the fan thru the defrost sensor that is mounted on the evaporator coil. these sensors will get moisture inside of them and short out causing intermittent fan operation. replace then sensor and your frig will return to normal. thanks for using FixYa peyton

fan only comes on when evaporator is down to temp. the fact it is not coming on points to a compressor fault ie evap not getting cold enough
