LUBE the deck belt with grease or WD-40 o any silicone lube.
try to loose the belt deck in the way that when you lift with you finger will be 2" max. See the drive belt , must have a deflection with your finger 1/4" aprox. Of course time to maintenance motor: lube the bearing or replace, and the carbon brush. Lube the deck bel 1time every week.
However you must test the voltage to the terminal to the motor from 0-180 Vdc, if NOT replace the Motor control Board

Do not use a grease on domestic Nordictrack I sell treadmills . Silicone based products are the best to use . The spray doesn't last long , the silicone based oil lasts longer .I sell the kits with oil recommended by the company who own the brand . If you use the grease you will VOID your warranty. TRB is a Authorized repairer for this brand in Australia

I started up my treadmill after a year sabbatical :) to find that it stops abruptly when I increase the speed above 4 and then when I restarted it as soon as I stood on the belt the motor lagged & then...

If the walking belt slips when walked on, first remove the key and UNPLUG THE POWER CORD. Using the allen wrench, turn both rear roller adjustment bolts clockwise, 1/4 of a turn. When the walking belt is correctly tightened, you should be able to lift the edges of the walking belt 3 to 4 inches off the walking platform. Be careful to keep the walking belt centered. Plug in the power cord, insert the key and run the treadmill for a few minutes. Repeat until the walking belt is properly tightened.

The belt stopped suddenly and now won't work anymore

I would check your speed sensor. I've never seen one of these just stop suddenly. But running for a min or so is one of the signs a speed sensor gives you.( especially if the treadmill want speed up while it running) Check this out and if it"s not the problem get as much info as poss to help diag.

Reebok i run treadmill stops working after 10 mins

If everything still works but no belt movement, you motor controller is more than likely shot. If replacing you want to also pay attention to the deck and belt. Sence it sut down while running, it sound it an over heating problem which is usually caused from too much friction between the walking belt and the deck(the board under it) May require lube or may need replacing.

The belt on my ProForm Crosstrainer treadmill stops while using i

Sometimes the tread needs to be lubricated. This was the case with ours. You can get a lubrication kit at ****'s Sporting Goods or other larger sport stores and it will instruct you on how to do it.

Precor M9.21 Treadmill - Stops under load

This probably did not happened suddenly right? the problem is not the motor however you can easily check the blue capacitor for peace of mind. with the power disconnected, disconnect one side off the capacitor from the top. with a ohm meter put the 2 probes on the cap,you will ear a temporary beep sound from your meter, then reverse your probes on the capacitor and again a temporary sound that mean your capacitor is good and your motor will run OK.

Your problem is more then likely your run belt and bed assembly. When new, these are coated with a wax of some kind for slipping, has you use the machine wax wears off, and so is the belt. You can see a black rubber dust at the rear of the machine. And so resistance increase when pressure is applied on the running belt.

Just behind the on/off switch where the power cord goes in, there is a auto reset 15 amp breaker that trips when too must resistance against the motor increase the amperage over 15amps. At 7 min/m on your speed setting and if the belt is adjusted correctly with nobody on, the motor pull about 6amps, with someone like me 180lbs, the motor pulls an avg of 10amps with a new belt.

If you have a clamp amp meter you can test it yourself.

2 parts you will need to fix this; 50985-101 (bed assembly) and 36355-101 (run belt 17 X 110) This is real easy to install.

make sure these parts are for your machine model # as they did increased the width of their belt over the years

Since 1998 I had to replace these parts 2 times with an average of 3 people using the treadmill every day. This is a good machine and if everything else is good it's worth it. I paid $300 for these parts, i'm sure if you shoppe a little you can do better.

Have a good one

Proforma 575 runs when no one on it but stops after a few seconds

These are two distinct problems. For the running but stopping it seems like a load or a feedback issue. I would start with the easiest - Lubricate, lubricate, lubricate the walking belt, you maybe overworking the motor drawing to much power causing shutting down - usually this blows the MCB (spendy)

The other users problem more than likely comes from the motor, sounds like a bad leg (check the brushes and armatures)
