Hi, It seems problem with low screen voltage to three picture tubes in this rear projection tv. If standby light blinks 5 times after three seconds long pause then adjust screen volts of each picture tube to solve this issue. Screen volt adjustment requires expertise and job of professional so please call local tv repairman to help you. Thanks.
The tv now have a problems known as a convergence problems,it dead.Tv have colors lines R,G,B mis alignments,have colors shadows or 3D pictures look alike?The tv convergence board have dead 2 STK convergence ICS and some or all of it resistors too.These parts must be replaced on the tv convergence board to fix the convergence board to solved the tv picture convergence problems.The shop,will cost like $300-350 for parts and labors.
The three inputs will all carry picture and sound. You then will definitely picture out to the TV but sometimes, depending on the manufacturer, no audio because it is assumed the the AV receiver will handle all of the audio duties therefore no need for audio at the TV.
Does the light blink? If it is blinking a 3 code, the IC's need to be replaced. Those three lamps as you called them are not lamps, they are the three picture tubes.
