There is usually a method such as holding the on button for a longer period of time. If it is easy to do the other thing that I've found with all sorts of "smart" devices which turn "not-so-smart" is to remove the battery for a minute or so, then put it back in. Many times the unit will turn on as soon as the battery is reinstalled and work correctly again after that. Last ditch effort, unless someone knows about the Galaxy, is a hard reset, there may be a reset button somewhere on the unit, I don't think the Galaxy has a reset button. If the unit still does not turn on it may need servicing.
1. Try the on button for 15 - 20 seconds if you know it is charged
2. Try charging for an hour or two then the 15-20 second hold on button, #1 above.
3. Removed battery (I'd measure the battery voltage while I have it out) wait ~1 - 2 minutes & reinstall the battery. If it doesn't turn on by itself try #1.
4. Nothing works start a service ticket with Samsung, URL:
http://support-us.samsung.com
You might try searching there as well for an answer to see if there's anything I missed.

My 7 inch Samsung galaxy tablet will not come on.

have you tried turning off tablet with charger plugged in and letting it charge up. You should see a battery symbol come onto the screen with a pulsing level indicating the battery is being charged. hold in power till unit turns off then plug in charger cable into tablet and switch on charger at power point . Do not try and push power switch to power up tablet see if screen indicates charging is occurring. I have experienced this exact problem on a samsung tablet !

Hello, I have a samsung galaxy tab 3 7.0 and I can't get it to turn on. It died while I was playing a pokemon game through an emulator. I've tried many combinations of hard-resets -- holding down the power...

When you charge it are you using a wall charger or a USB one?
The other thing as far as a running program in the background will not shut down the tablet. The other thing is once the tablet powers off the game will close and won't come back up until you activate it. It doesn't run in the background when no power is on. Not sure on those if you can pull out the battery but if not then use a wall plug and do not try to power it on for at least an hour and i'm sure that will take care of the issue.

Tablet won't charge

With your tablet unplugged, press and hold the Power button for around 30 seconds. Then place your tablet on the charger (preferably the home charger) and wait a couple minutes. Then press and hold the power button for around 30 seconds again. If this does not help, then the battery may be bad. Storing a lithium-ion battery should done with no less than 40% battery life left, otherwise the battery voltage or power can go below the safety net (li-ion batteries are not fully dead when your device tells you they are. Once the battery reaches below the safe level, the battery is no longer good or safe to use anymore).

When I try to charge my samsung galaxy tablet a yellow triangle pops up on the battery sign

I had this same thing. The Batter image had a red line on the right side and the yellow triangle had an explanation point in the middle.

I searched the net and found a few solutions.

1. Hold the power button down for 30 seconds.

2. Hold the power button down and the volume down button at the same time for 30 seconds.

3. Just let it charge and over night and it should go back to normal.

I did all 3, in the order I wrote them. While in step 3, after about 5 minutes I pressed the power button and it showed that it was charging normal.

Hope this helps.

Galaxy tablet has frozen

Try the Reset button first - on the side...small hole. use paperclup with end extruded. Press in and hold down, turn unit on, release. If this does not work you will need to starve it of all power. no AC and remove the battery. Keep disconnected for at least two minutes. Reinsert the battery, fully charge, the turn on.
