Is the agitator supposed to spin freely on a Kenmore Elite Oasis? I received a F50 code and I am wondering if something isn't stuck between the agitator and the outer basket

You are not going to believe this but I had the feared F-51 code on my machine and after doing a ton of electrical troubleshooting and part replacement........the problem was a pair of Boxers jammed in between the walls of the drums!!!!!! REMEMBER.....
LOOK FOR THE SIMPLE THINGS FIRST!!!!!! DONT MAKE A MOUNTAIN OUT OF A MOLE HILL!!!!!

See the following Whirlpool Service Manual for their Cabrio washer. It's the same machine as the Kenmore Oasis,

The F54 fault code indicates that the control board senses high motor current.
This can be caused by excessive friction in the spin basket.
With the washer off, open the lid and see if the basket spins freely.
If not, you may need to remove the basket and check for an item stuck between the spin basket and the outer washer tub.
The second and third images show procedures for removing the basket on the Oasis washer depending on whether you have an impeller or agitator in your model.
If the basket spins okay, then you can follow the technical troubleshooting described in the first image.
This may help you determine the cause of your washer problem.

The F50 error code indicates that the RPS (rotor position sensor) detects no motor rotation. Check to see if the basket spins freely. If not, you could have an item caught between the outer tub and the inner spin basket. A toy or other item underneath the washer could also prevent the basket from spinning and would result in this F50 code.

If the basket spins freely, you could have a wiring failure that would prevent the motor from spinning.
