Frigidaire Dishwasher door hits on the upper right hand corner when closing. Dishwasher works fine but don't want to have problems later on

Hi, Yup.. it's the door seal...
Here is a tip that I wrote about dishwashers and them leaking.

The door bottom is actually NOT sealed. Look into the levelness of the unit, and that you are using the correct soap. Both can cause water to leak by the door.

Look closely at the door alignment and make sure is did not get damaged along the way..

I'm assuming you don't want to replace the door seal. Open the freezer door. Stand "inside" the open door and place your foot at the right bottom corner (looking from the inside). Place your hand in the top right corner and pull it very slightly toward you. Do this in small amounts until the gap closes making sure you don't open one at the bottom.

An alternate method is to warm the gapped section of the door seal with a hair dryer to soften the rubber enough to allow the magnet within the rubber to pull the seal gap closed. This has worked for me numerous times by making small adjustments at a time. Good Luck

Look at following areas for the model number

* On Right Hand Side Of Upper
* Front Tub Or Door Jam
* On Flange Behind Dishwasher Door
* Behind Latch Strike
* Upper Left Corner Of Frame

Hit the "2nd" button in the upper left hand corner of the keypad, and then the "+" button (lower right hand corner). Then either click the down arrow once and then "enter" or just hit the "2" button. (the selection should say "2: Mem Mgmt/Del...") Hit Enter again (selecting the "1: All..." selection) Scroll through the programs on her calculator and either hit the "Del" button (upper right hand corner of the keypad) to delete the programs/variables, or hit "ENTER" to archive them. The archived programs have an asterisk, " * ", in front of them. (Note: Once you delete the programs, you CAN NOT get them back) If you have variables on there "L1" "A" etc. you can delete them and use them again later, obviously.

You can bypass this whole thing and just do "2nd" "+" "7". This combination will reset the calculator and delete any programs that are unimportant to the calculator. You will be left with the "Finance..." option in the APPS menu only...nothing else. You should be able to clear up the problem either way.

Over time, door gaskets and seals harden and lose their ability to seal properly. You can't repair the seals. You need to replace them if they've begun to leak.

Also,The latch on many dishwashers is adjustable. If your door is easy to close but difficult to latch, adjust the latch to let the door close more easily. If you can't see any way to adjust the latch, yours may be fixed in a certain position. Check for other reasons for the latching problem.

If the latch has worn out in a way that makes it impossible for you to close the door properly, you probably need to replace the latch.

I have had the same problem in the past. Usually I found that something of large size was sitting in the corner just in front of where the soap door opens. The door tries to open, hits this item (in my case a cutting board) and can't open completely. Try keeping only short items in this corner and see if it helps. Good luck!

make sure the door is not hitting on cabinet when shut.

So far so good. I fixed mine by removing the vent and even though it says no repairable parts I disassembled it then removed the rubber gasket and cleaned it with a brush under hot water. I then cleaned the plastic ring it seals against. Next I removed the spring and stretched it to make it about a quarter inch longer and then reinstalled the spring then the rubber gasket and then closed up the unit. So far it is working fine. I suspect the real problem is that there is a tiny sensor that needs to be covered when the vent is closed. If this is not covered the uo error code is generated.
