My hotpoint aqualtis AQ9D69U was sounding like a helicopter on spin now wont do anything it comes on but thats it no water fill or turning but clock still counts down

possibly the main drive belt has either snapped or jumped off the pulley and this allows you to turn easily by hand the whir/buzz sounds like system in coming into play but with no belt to drive nothing more happens, the front lower portion of the machine could be the water pump working overtime unable to drain ???
please could someone help as i have the exact same problem with my aqualtis zqxgf149,exactly as above,fitted new pump myself and its now emptying the water but wont spin and in wash cycle f11 comes back up
