GE Dryer possible control board problem

I have purchased a condo recently; Dryer seemed Ok; after 1-2 weeks start beeping at the middle of night; open and close door; 2 hours latter beeping again; up-plunged it. Recently cloths was not dry; noticed Dryer goes to "Cooling off" at the start; lights goes on and off and start beeping; played with volumes and managed to make it work and cloths was dry. It seems control board have some issued; need to know if it worth fixing or getting another dryer; this Dryer perhaps was as old as Condo which is 6 years; my unit was rented for long time. My guess is unit is reached to it end; but not sure how much cost to replace the control board; and if I do; something else might go wrong after a while. What is your advice?

I have a GE Model DSXH47EGWW dryer that is 3 years old. It has recently started beeping when the dryer is off. Three lights come on and it beeps twice, and the lights stay on. I push the pause/cancel...

if that beeps on it's own and lights come on most likely when this happens it's the computer board,i've seen them start up just sitting there it will beep and then turn on.

Beep beep beep

Temporary Fix: unplug the dryer or cut its power at the circuit breaker panel, when not in use. If the dryer alerts/alarms are set to silent and the beeping happens when it's not in use, chances are it's the same beeping you hear when you first introduce power to the unit or press start. This may indicate a short affecting the control board. If you need to press start multiple times to get the dryer started, then the control board components are most likely starting to fail.

Spin Option

The problems posted by kim875 and kirsty2 all seem to be the result of faulty signals from the electronic board. This seems to be a real problem with this model machine. I would try to get board replaced under warranty , if at all possible.

Just to verify does it also beep six times? This model has the actual pushbuttons. Press all buttons lightly and see if any release. Disengage button.
