The engine in this car is controlled by computer, so the first thing you must do is have the computer scanned for fault codes, once you have those codes (if any) you can begin diagnostics to find the root cause of the problem. You will need both a passive scan test (key on engine off) and an active scan test (key on engine running) due to the fact this is an idle speed control problem.
Have to work on the reason for the cylinder misfires
If you fail to ever work on it -then you get problems
That is neglect & 90% of what people do --nothing
Have you NOT checked for codes?
With all those issues you described ,I would have stopped
using it months ago & resolved things, now you most likely
ruined the converters
Spark Plugs-changed every 3 years?
I would guess there a bad ignition coils
If so you ruin your exhaust converter from
unburnt fuel,as your describing
Oxygen Sensors (front ones) they go at 100,000 miles
& should be checked with scanner once or twice a year
Even then only a scope on them & look at switching times
gives you a good picture of their functioning
Your in protective custody-- so you keep your name a secret
air leaks, if engine is MAF based. too lazy to look, now.
clogged injectors
low fuel pressures.
about 25 more things, non do i guess, ever.
bad spark plugs and friends, skipping 60,k mile tuneups? bad boy.
battery discharging causing EFI to go nuts?
check fuses,
check the check engine light , glowing running?
scan it al 1999 here are obd2 cars, and all scan tools here work (USA) this year. so scan it. and see all those errors. post them.
list in not ordered, tune up is first.
thats strange... if i had to make a wild guess i'd say your firewall is blocking the site. try:
1) finding your firewall in icons at bottom right of monitor
2) right click it and select disable
3) choose off for 10 min or till I restart or something
4) try activation again
5) restart computer to wake firewall back up
hopefully that gets you what you need.
if you don't have an icon on the bar at the bottom of screen try looking in your start menu
Be VERY careful when dealing with this problem! If the timing belt jumped a tooth, you can ruin the engine by trying to start it! Have you had the codes scanned? Advance auto parts sells a scanner for around $50. Its a good investment! It can be any number of things that cause this problem! ignition control module, crank sensor, cam sensor, timing belt and or pulleys, coil pack, ect. you need to have it scanned to get an idea of where to look! DO NOT unhook the battery! It will wipe out any stored codes!
These power accessories are controlled by a computer module commonly called the body control module (BCM for short), the BCM has the ability to self diagnose, you need the Ford dealer to scan the BCM and make the BCM run an active self test, then the BCM will deliver back fault codes for what it Found wrong in the system while doing the active function self test. Guessing is really not an option here, parts are to expensive to just randomly replace in hopes of fixing the problem.
What is the code? Most auto parts stores will read the code for free. My guess is this is a Faulty O2 Sensor causing the problem. The code that will appear when scanned will tell you.
Got the same make/model/year, but haven't had that problem. Does your temperature gauge run at half or above when this happens? If so, start with a cheap fix - new thermostat.
Another thing to consider is that some of the QR25DE engines equipped in the 02 Sentra SERs has an active recall on the crank position sensor. This fault would cause the check engine light to come on and the car would stall unexpectedly. It should start back up but the frequency of this will only increase without repair.
Also, no need to change plug wires, you have coil pack ignition - there is no distributor. If a coil pack is bad, you will have constant misfire and SES light.
Hi there dont try guessing numbers or codes it might ruin your phone...i suggest you contact your local wireless store and you can purchase a lot of other sim cards there that you can use international...Try to activate your phone into raoming mode.
