Phillips HDTV turns off when we turn the XBOX 360 on.

Step 1:

Connect the audio/video input of the component cable into the "A/V" port located on the back of the xbox 360

Step 2:

Match the red, blue and green cables on the other end of the component cable to the corresponding component ports on your HDTV. If your HDTV has more than one set of component inputs, make note of which one you use.

Step 3:

Slide the switch on the component cable to "HDTV."

Step 4:

Turn on your HDTV. Set the video mode to the component port that will be used. HDTVs with multiple component ports will usually be labeled "Component 1," "Component 2" and so on

Step 5:

Turn on the Xbox 360. Go to "My Xbox." Select "System Settings" then "Console Settings" then "Display" and then "HDTV Settings." Choose the display setting (720p, 1080i and 1080p) that is best compatible with your HDTV. If you're not sure, try them all until you find the one that looks best.

Step 6:

Disconnect any previously connected A/V or component cables.

Step 7:

Connect the HDMI AV cable connector to the "HDMI AV" port on the Xbox 360.

Step 8:

Connect the other end to an available HDMI port on your HDTV. If your HDTV has more than one HDMI input, make note of which one you use.

Step 9:

Turn on your HDTV. Set the video mode to the HDMI port that will be used. HDTVs with multiple component ports will usually label them "HDMI 1," "HDMI 2" and so on.

Step 10:

Turn on the Xbox 360. Go to "My Xbox." Select "System Settings" then "Console Settings" then "Display" and then "HDTV Settings." Pick the display setting (720p, 1080i and 1080p) that looks best on your HDTV.

You will have to buy a new powerbox

1. Turn off Xbox 360 console and network hardware (for example, your modem and router).Wait 30 seconds.
2. Turn on your modem and wait a minute.Turn on the next piece of hardware (for example, your router) and wait another minute.Turn on your Xbox 360 console.On your console, go to My Xbox, and then select System Settings.
3. Select Network Settings.
4. Select Wired Network or your wireless network if you are prompted to do so.
5. Select Test Xbox LIVE Connection.If Xbox LIVE performance is still slow, try the next solution.

turn it on cover it in lots of towels leave it 30-45 minutes hope it works it worked for me

If the 360 was ON when it fell or recently turned off then there might be a chance that the GPU connections were softened from the heat of being used. If this is the case set the 360 on its side, as in horizontally and turn it on for around 30 minutes and then turn it off and let it cool down for 30 minutes. This should warm up the GPU connections and then cool them down in the proper positions.

It's best if you leave the 360 on it's side then vertically.

Common short the cover cap over the video & sound boards short out if you remove it the cap only (shield metal) it usually will fix this

well you screwed thats what red ring does just try un plugging it and keeping it in some towels
