The refrigerator right side door swings all the way around when you open it (180 degrees). Shouldn't it stop half way? How can this be corrected?

Tried to adjust the front floor adjusters. The door does not stay at 90 degrees.

Your frig should be properly leveled left to right and front to back when it was installed. If it is done correctly, when you open the door it should stop where-ever you stop it and it should stay there until you close it. If it swings either closed or open when you let go of the handle, it's not level. The door stop is there to keep the door from opening too far.

Home Depot lists a depth dimension for a GE refrigerator. Is the handle included in the depth dimension?

no. depth is measured from the back of the box to the front of the box but does not include the handles. The depth of the cabinet is used to determine if the doors will open sufficiently to clear countertops and half walls or appliances. Also helps determine if enough space will be available to open doors in small kitchens such as "c" shape, "L" shape or narrow galley kitchens. for small kitchens, the best frig is a side by side. The doors are smaller and less swing space is needed. A 25 cubic foot side by side uses less swing space then a 15 cubic foot single door. If you are worried about depth, you can also get a counter depth frig which will stick out past your countertops by about 2 inches rather then 8-10 inches with a standard frig. standard depth is about 28-36 inches from the back wall when plugged in. Handles get in the way most often in width measurements because they prevent the doors from swinging past 90 degrees if located next to a wall.

Is there a way to adjust the refrigerator door so it will stop at a 45 degree angle rather than swinging on back?

check the level of the fridge. If you adj.till it is level the door will stay wherever you stop it. Usually they are adjusted till the door falls shut if started so the door is not left open

. I need the hinge door stop on the lower right side of refridge

The door stop part # WR02X10782 If this is for the refrig door , check the screw at the bottom of the door , to make sure it is not adjusted too high , bypassing the door stop . The same door stop is used on both doors .

How do i stop a refrigerator door from swinging open too far?

It sounds as if your fridge is leaning forward and the weight opens the door to quick and to far, try to get it level and then it will only open as far as you open it.

GE Side by Side Fridge Door Adjustment

Most refrigerators do not have anything to prevent the door from opening all the way. To minimize this , adjust the front leveling legs up enough so the door won't stay open by itself. The refrigerator doesn't have to be level, it just should not rock. Most are adjusted this way to let the door shut itself. This should help. If this doesn't work. make a strap with small chain or seat belt type material. Attach from the bottom of the door. Make it just long enough to not let the door open past 90 degrees.

Counter depth refrigerator

Do you have room to pull the fridge out from the wall, maybe just a couple inches? Pulling it out from the wall should give you more door swing without hitting the counter.

Let me know if this works for you.

Thanks,
Bill
