I have the Kenmore Elite HE3t and the control panel lets me change the settings but the door stays locked and the drain pump (off the filter) keeps going but there is no water to drain...cleaned drain out...

Hi

If the washer is not draining then it is due to a clogged drain pump or a drain filter or a kinked drain hose. To resolve the issue you'll need to clean the drain hose, inspect if the drain hose is plugged. If the hose is fine, then remove the front kick panel and access the drain pump and filter, if you are unable to find the pump and filter remove the back panel as well and trace the drain hose to the bottom of the tub. There is a drain filter connected with the drain pump. It usually gets clogged, and needs to be cleaned every 6-8 months or so. The drain filter is a small white filter connected to drain pump with a hose. If it still doesn't work then you'll need to check the connections of the drain pump, check the electrical connections with a multimeter. If it still doesn't work then you would need to replace the drain pump. Please check this video for cleaning:

Hope this helps... Please post back if you need more information.

Im getting an OE error and only use 1 teaspoon of detergent. The siphen hose, next to the filter is completely blocked. how do i clear it?

Hi,
If you are getting this code it is because your washing machine has tried for at least ten minutes to drain the water out of the machine. The most likely cause of this problem is that you have a plugged pump filter or you have something stuck in the pump filter.
Make sure that you unplug your washing machine. To clean out the pump filter you must empty the washing machine water. The best way to do this is to manually drain the water into a low bucket or basin. Then lay a towel down to catch to remaining small amount of water. Remove the pump filter, clean out any debris, and wash out the filter. Then plug your washer back in and restart the washing machine.Check that your machine is properly leveled. A washer that is too far out of level may not drain properly. Make sure that you are level front to back as well as side to side. This solution will solve your problem
Thank You !!

What does the flashing OE mean? My washer is flashing OE and the water will not drain after the cycle.

OE means the drain hose is clogged. UE means unbalanced or overloaded. This is decribed in the owner's manual page 31-32. Pull the hose from the back of machine and rinse it out. Then, check the lint filter on the bottom, front left side. Put drain hose back and close lint filter. Unplug the machine, press and hold the start button for 10 seconds to reset machine computer (not the on button...leave machine turned off and unplugged while resetting computer) plug back in, put on no spin and start the machine. It should drain.

It wont cycle thru anything

Hi,

There could be several reasons for washer not to fill .Fill washer with water and wait for the timer to get to the drain mode.Unplug the washer from the electric outlet.Open the case, and disconnect the water hose from the outlet of the water pump.If you get water pouring out from the pump, then plug that up and check the hose to the sewer. If that is clogged, then you have found the problem. Some washers have a self cleaning filter in that hose somewhere. Check that to be sure it is working properly.Reassemble hose from step 3.Plug washer back in. If it pumps out now, then you are done. If it doesn't, then the water pump is probably defective, so replace it.

Water wont drain

Hi,
OE-pump blocked. Disconnect the power before attempting any work. Use of an RCD (plug in power breaker) is recommended.
Disconnect pump from sump hose and check for obstruction in either item. Pump removal: power off, remove cover, locate pump, (attached to other end of drain pipe).undo 2 wiring connections, 2 hose connections, and pump mounting screws. Remove pump chamber - some are held in with screws, others clip into place. Check for foreign objects round the impeller. If pump chamber is clear, may be a fault with the pump motor - in which case, replace.
Also check the filter - generally located behind a panel at the foot of the machine. Some are obvious like little square hatches and some are hidden behind the trim panel at the foot of the machine. Once panel is removed the filter should be visible. Its generally a circular plastic fitting which unscrews in an anticlockwise direction. Some hotpoint, indesit and ariston filters are located in the big black sump hose (the one that leaves the bottom of the outer drum and connects to the pump). Remove the back cover, locate hose, remove the tensioner clip by squeezing the tabs together, remove the hose, take out filter and clean.

Good Luck!!
